Anyangjip Sundae Gopchang Alley Review
A local Anyang review of Anyangjip in Sundae Gopchang Alley, with hours, closure days, seasoned stir-fry, cola service, perilla leaves, makgeolli, and must-order fried rice.
Hi, this is Ijjingne. Today I went to one of Anyang's signature food spots, Sundae Gopchang Alley. I used to go there often when I was young, and after suddenly craving it again, I visited with my family.

Hours: 10:00-23:00 Closed: the first and third Tuesday of each month, and the second and fourth Wednesday. Once you enter the alley, many sundae gopchang restaurants line both sides. As a true Anyang local, my pick is Anyangjip. I really only go here and not the others.
They cook at the entrance, and it is impossible to pass by that smell. They were stir-frying everything with plenty of ingredients, and the owner's cooking touch looked excellent.

There are plenty of tables inside, but at peak times you may have to wait. I visited around 6 p.m., and by about 6:30 it was full. Even though every surrounding restaurant also sells sundae gopchang, only Anyangjip was packed.
I like the seasoned version, so I ordered three portions of the seasoned stir-fry. Next time I want to try baeksundae too.

In Anyang Sundae Gopchang Alley, every place gives one complimentary drink. I have tried about seven places before, and most give a pineapple-type drink, but Anyangjip gives Pepsi-Cola. They also bring fresh perilla leaves separately so you can wrap the stir-fry when it comes out. Other places do not give those, and as a perilla leaf lover, that is why I settled on Anyangjip.

They stir-fry it right after you order, and the visual is amazing. The portion is generous from the start, with lots of sundae and gopchang. If you want, you can also change it to only sundae or only gopchang.

The pan is hot, so they attach a handle cover when serving it.

The sundae gopchang comes fully cooked, so you only need to keep the heat low and eat right away. This is a reliable Anyang gopchang spot.

There is plenty of sundae, gopchang, and glass noodles. It is such a delicious combination.

One useful tip: if you keep eating with the low heat on as served, the center can stick because of the glass noodles. Empty the center slightly and move the food toward the edges like a ring. That way it does not stick and stays warm until the end.

A glass of makgeolli is a must. I think sundae gopchang stir-fry goes best with makgeolli.

The finishing fried rice is not optional, so make sure to order it. The fried rice is really good, and even one portion is enough. I strongly recommend this Anyang gopchang spot.
