Hi! Today’s review is of Suni Yeol Dakbal, a place I had only ordered from for delivery before finally eating there in person. Whenever I want chicken feet at home, I always order from Suni Yeol Dakbal, and it has been so good that I wanted to try it at the restaurant too. It is close to Myeonghak Station and easy to reach by public transport, so I visited and ate there.

The location is right near Myeonghak Station, and it is in front of a three-way intersection, so it was easy to find. 📍 Hours: 16:00-02:00 📍 Delivery and takeout available Parking is not available. Even though it is a chicken-feet spot, the menu is fairly varied like a pocha, and it is nice for having a drink with a meal. They also have draft beer, so it really has that pocha feeling. Since it stays open until 2 a.m., it is a good place to eat and drink without rushing.

Most seats were four-person tables, and the space felt roomy. If you order soup-style chicken feet, you can keep it simmering and eat it warm until the end. I personally like charcoal-grilled chicken feet, so I have not tried Suni Yeol Dakbal’s soup chicken feet yet, but I’m curious about it. The boneless version is so tasty that I think the soup-style one would be good too.

I visited with four people, so we ordered plenty. The chicken-feet set includes either steamed egg or fish-cake soup. I love both fish-cake soup and steamed egg, so I chose steamed egg for the set and added fish-cake soup separately. The seaweed-flake rice balls were also good. What really stands out at Suni Yeol Dakbal is that they serve corn salad, onion, and chicken feet so you can wrap them in perilla leaves. This is the key move. I really recommend wrapping them in perilla leaves.

Eating in the restaurant, we also got kimchi and shrimp chips. The basic shrimp-chip snack was tasty.

This was the medium size of the charcoal-grilled chicken feet we ordered. It contains just the chicken feet, but the portion is more generous than it looks. The charcoal aroma was just right, and it was not the kind of spiciness that is only harsh or overpowering. The smoky flavor and seasoning were well balanced, making it a deliciously spicy dish.

The seaweed-flake rice balls were nicely put together too. From the name, you might expect only seaweed flakes, but there was plenty of flying fish roe and pickled radish inside, which gave them good texture and helped balance the heat, so I kept reaching for more. And then there is my favorite item at Suni Yeol Dakbal: the steamed egg. It is so close to perfect pudding texture that I honestly wonder how they make it. Among all the restaurant-style steamed eggs I have tried, Suni Yeol Dakbal is my top pick. This is one you should try.

My favorite combination: chicken feet, onion, and corn salad wrapped in a perilla leaf. Eating it this way softens the spiciness, adds crunch, and gives it a fragrant finish. It is just right.

The set menu had such a good combination. When you order chicken feet, steamed egg and rice balls are basically must-have partners, so I enjoyed this meal a lot.

Adding rice balls on top of my favorite wrap combination makes it more filling. Drinks go down easily with this, and it really works as drinking food.

We also ordered gizzards as a side. For four people, one set felt a little short, so we added the gizzards. They were chewy, clean-tasting, and savory without any off smell. There was also plenty of whole garlic, which paired well. Getting a generous amount of salad was another nice point.


Even when I ordered delivery, I could never choose only one between steamed egg and fish-cake soup, so I always ate them together. At the restaurant, having the fish-cake soup right after it was boiled made it even better. The broth was nutty, deep, and excellent. When drinking, you definitely need at least one soup-style snack, and the fish-cake soup was good value with a large portion, so I recommend adding it.

That was my satisfying review of Suni Yeol Dakbal. If you are looking for spicy chicken feet around Anyang-dong or Myeonghak Station, I would go with Suni Yeol Dakbal. Including delivery orders, I have eaten from this place more than five times, so for me it is a genuinely reliable favorite.
