Dosaeng in Pyeongchon: Korean Dining Bar for Dates
A visit to Dosaeng, a Korean dining bar on Pyeongchon Station Rodeo Street, for its signature Ohap. It is about a 5-minute walk from Exit 1, with Naver reservations, bar seats, tables, and one room.

Hello! Today I visited Pyeongchon Station for the first time in a while. At Dosaeng, a Korean dining bar in Pyeongchon, I tried its special signature menu item, Ohap. From the visuals to the taste, Ohap was fantastic. Just like its name suggests, the combination of five ingredients worked really well together.

The location is Pyeongchon Station Rodeo Street. It is about a 5-minute walk from Pyeongchon Station Exit 1, and if you just keep going straight, you pass the central area and can see it right away, so it is easy to find. Hours: 17:00–01:00 Last order: 12:00 Naver reservations are available. Because it is a dining bar, it is better to visit after making a reservation. When reserving, you can choose from tables, bar seating, or a room. There is only one room, so if you have a larger group, a reservation is definitely a must. I went with a friend for something light, so we reserved bar seats before visiting.

When you go up to the second floor of the building, the restaurant is near the shopping complex entrance, so it stands out. There is also a menu board in front of the shop, so you can look over the menu before going in.

The interior is elegant and pretty. It would be good for moments when you need an atmospheric place, such as a date, a blind date, or a wedding invitation gathering. Inside, there were about four 4-person tables, and the bar seating looked like it could seat about four groups. The room looked suitable for 6 to 8 people. It could also work well for a casual company dinner.
The menu was so pretty that I had to take a photo. On the very first page, there is a message with the restaurant’s own promise. It made me feel like they put care into the food, so it gave me a bit of trust.

Ohap Soju, beer
As expected from a Korean dining bar, the menu lineup was good. I wanted to try other dishes too, but first I ordered Dosaeng’s most signature item, Ohap. The menu is varied, with seafood, soups, fried dishes, jeon pancakes, grilled dishes, and more.

After we sat down and ordered, they brought out Dosaeng’s basic anju snacks. How can the basic snacks be this high quality?

The aged kimchi gimbap had rice with a lively, springy texture. The seasoning was just right, and it was savory and delicious. The soft tofu came topped with bean sprouts and sauce. The sauce was sweet and tangy, so it went well with the tofu. Eating it together with the bean sprouts also gave it a nice crunchy texture.

Finally, the Ohap I had been waiting for arrived. The presentation was just incredible. It was glossy and glistening. They served gamtae with it so we could wrap everything, along with raw wasabi and ginger.
The sauce being poured on is black sesame sauce. Black sesame goes well with yukhoe. They told us to put just a little on the yukhoe when eating it. We ended up squeezing it all at once, though. It tasted even more nutty and delicious with the sauce on it.

I tried wrapping different combinations in the gamtae. Yukhoe + shrimp Yukhoe + scallop Shrimp + scallop All three combinations were excellent. You can also add plenty of uni and salmon roe. For reference, extra uni can be added for an additional charge.

With just the right amount of wasabi, it was truly amazing. They gave us plenty of gamtae, so we even had some left over. It paired well with the seafood and was soft and delicious.

If you are looking for a restaurant with a great atmosphere in Pyeongchon, definitely try Dosaeng. It was seriously a hit. I wanted to try other anju dishes too, but I had beer and got full. Next time I visit, I definitely want to try another menu item. . . . #PyeongchonKoreanPub #PyeongchonBar #PyeongchonStationBar #PyeongchonStationRestaurant #PyeongchonRestaurant #PyeongchonStationDiningBar #PyeongchonDiningBar #BeomgyeBar #BeomgyeKoreanPub #PyeongchonDate #AnyangBar #PyeongchonWeddingInvitationGathering #PyeongchonCompanyDinner
