Dajeong Gimbap Anyang Station Breakfast Review
A takeout review of Dajeong Gimbap in the Anyang underground shopping area, including morning assorted gimbap, source-reported hours, kimbap, tofu diet roll, salad, and sandwich notes.

Hi, this is Ijjingne. Today I visited Dajeong Gimbap, a good Anyang-dong food spot. It is in the Anyang 1st Street underground shopping area, and the gimbap was packed with fillings. Since it opens from 7:30 in the morning, it is also a good place to grab breakfast.

There is a Good Morning assorted gimbap sold at a discount only in the morning. It is limited to weekday mornings from 7:30 to 9:30, so it sounds like a good menu for office workers and students heading out early.

The shop is below Daedong Bookstore in the Anyang underground shopping area. You can enter through the bookstore building or from the underground arcade. The source lists hours as 7:30 to 19:00, break time from 15:00 to 15:30, and last order at 18:30. When I visited around 5:30, the gimbap was sold out, so going early is recommended.

There are set menus, so if you eat at the shop, ramen and gimbap would be a good combination. The source also says a new menu starts from April 7: a lower-carb, healthy-fat style item using soy milk noodles, which sounds good for dieting.

Salads and sandwiches are also on the menu, and the customer behind me bought them all. Dajeong Gimbap seemed very popular.

Fishcake gimbap, spicy flavor; tuna gimbap, mild flavor; diet tofu gimbap; green salad; sandwich.
I ordered these for takeout and planned to eat the sandwich and salad the next day. They felt like good value, so instead of choosing one, I brought both.

I called ahead to place a takeout order. It seems they usually roll it after you order. If I had not called first, someone might have taken the sandwich and salad while I was deciding. I packed everything carefully and went home.

They labeled the gimbap with stickers: tuna for tuna gimbap, fishcake plus chili for spicy fishcake gimbap, and diet for the diet tofu gimbap.

I opened the gimbap right away and plated it. The rice layer was small and the fillings were packed full, which is what made Dajeong Gimbap stand out.

The diet tofu gimbap was clean and savory, with plenty of vegetables and tofu. People say gimbap can be more filling than expected, but with fillings like these, it felt like it would work well as a diet meal.

The spicy fishcake gimbap had stir-fried fishcake inside. It was not very spicy and had the kind of mild heat that even children could probably eat. It was chewy and tasty.

Tuna gimbap is always my top pick. Not many places put this much tuna inside. There were lots of vegetables and even perilla leaves, making it nutty and delicious.

I ate the sandwich for breakfast the next day. It came with two flavors: egg sandwich and vegetable sandwich. It was a smart combination for getting protein and vegetables, and with coffee in the morning it was filling.
The salad came with oriental dressing on the side. Since the dressing was not poured in advance, the vegetables stayed fresh instead of getting soggy.

With fruit, vegetables, egg, sweet potato, avocado, and more, this felt like a generous gimbap shop. The reviewer plans to revisit and wants to stop by on the way to work for breakfast next time.
