Damso Sosa-gol Sundaeguk in Indeogwon, Anyang Doosan Venture Daim

Hello! Today I visited a place for a hot bowl of sundae guk, Korean blood sausage soup. I had been to other Damso branches often, but this time I went to the Doosan Venture Daim branch.

It is located on the 1st floor of Anyang Doosan Venture Daim. There is an entrance from outside the building, and you can also enter from inside Venture Daim. Since I parked first, I went in through the inside route. It was not far from the parking lot and was easy to find. 📍 Hours 06:40-23:00 No break time 📍 Parking Parking is available in the building parking lot. I visited at weekend lunchtime and there were plenty of spaces. Since the building has many offices, weekends may be a little more relaxed. Parking support is provided.

Woosundae guk set meal Ilpum sundae guk

I heard the broth in the woosundae guk was clean, so I ordered that along with the most classic choice, Ilpum sundae guk. ‼️ Tip when visiting as two people ‼️ Order one menu item as a set and share the sundae and pyeonyuk together. I also ordered one basic meal and one set. The sundae and pyeonyuk that come with the set were more generous than expected, so it was just right for two people to share.

The basic side dishes were kkakdugi and musaengchae. I brought pickled peppers and onion from the self-service bar. The self-service bar also had various sauces and other side dishes, so it seems best to take only as much as you will eat. I did not have a hair tie that day and felt a bit uncomfortable, but there were hair ties at the self-service bar too. That was surprisingly useful.

They first set up the sundae and pyeonyuk, and then brought out the sundae guk right away. For the sundae and pyeonyuk, they provided garlic, chili, and saeujeot. From what I saw, it seemed possible to change the set to only sundae or only pyeonyuk.

The sundae in the woosundae guk was white. The broth was also a paler color. Maybe because of that, the broth tasted mild and clean. There were plenty of glass noodles and ingredients inside.

Before eating the Ilpum sundae guk, I scooped into it and found dadaegi, the spicy seasoning paste, inside. After mixing it well, it had a slightly spicy aroma. It tasted better with the dadaegi mixed in than when I had only the plain broth. The Ilpum sundae guk also had lots of ingredients. The portion was large enough that I shared some with my friend and still ate until I was completely full.

This was the sundae that came with the set. I wondered if it was chal-sundae, because it tasted different from the sundae inside the soup. The set sundae was nuttier and chewier. I liked this sundae more, so I gave the sundae from my soup to my friend and ate the set sundae instead.

The pyeonyuk also had an excellent chewy texture. I do not usually eat pyeonyuk often, but trying it again this time made me realize how good it can be. With garlic, Cheongyang chili, and a little ssamjang on top, it felt like a perfect dish to have with drinks. If you visit Damso Sosa-gol Sundae Yukgaejang, I really think ordering at least one set is the move.

I took a photo because I was so happy with the rice that day. The rice was very sticky and glossy, which was great. At gukbap restaurants, I often decide whether I want to return based on the condition of the rice. Here, it was a strong yes for me. Because they served freshly made, sticky rice, the sundae guk tasted even better.

The overall set was satisfying, the broth was clean, and the rice was excellent. Rice refills are also available when each person orders one meal.
