Orai in Bomgye for Date Night Drinks and Spicy Snacks
A Bomgye Rodeo bar review of Orai, with yellow exterior cues, 4th-floor access, comfortable seating, photo-friendly lighting, cheese buldak, muksabal, beer, soju, and a lively window-seat mood.
Today I went out to Bomgye for drinks for the first time in a while. I was looking for a place with a good atmosphere, and among the Bomgye bars, Orai caught my eye.
It is in Bomgye Rodeo, so it was easy to find. Enter through the Gorae Gamjatang building. Even from outside, the yellow exterior stands out. Once you go up to the 4th floor, the entrance is right on the right, so it was not hard to find.

The inside had a good atmosphere. There were plenty of tables, and the chairs were really comfortable. Thanks to the lighting, selfies came out well, so I kept taking photos until the food arrived.

The black and yellow combination felt cute, and there was a photo zone too. On the way to the smoking room inside, there was a full-length mirror with cute bear figures where you could take photos. I got one photo there as well. I really liked that playful mood. If you are looking for a bar with a smoking room, the Also noted: that Orai has one.

Cheese buldak Yangpun muksabal Soju, beer
I was craving something spicy, so I ordered cheese buldak and muksabal with a cool broth. I really wanted somaek that day, so I went with soju and beer. Looking at the menu, there were a lot of drink options. Next time I want to try a highball. If you follow their Instagram and post a story, a random service item is offered.

The basic snack was bread with whipped cream. It was nutty and sweet, so it was good for waking up the appetite. The cream tasted especially sweet and thicker than regular whipped cream, which I liked. Since the basic snack was out, I mixed somaek right away and started the night.

We sat by the window, and because the window was open, it felt cool in a way that suited the season. It almost felt like drinking outdoors, and opening the window was a great touch.
The cheese buldak came first, and it was completely covered in cheese. There was plenty of chicken, and the sauce was seriously spicy. It came out sizzling, and the spicy aroma was great.

The cheese stretched so much that waiting while taking photos was hard. They piled the shredded cheese high, to the point that picking it up took effort, which I loved. After eating spicy food with somaek, I started wanting something cold and soupy, and the muksabal arrived.

It was very cold with floating ice. There was a lot of acorn jelly, and the broth, which seemed like dongchimi broth, was cool and mild. Once I mixed in the seasoning, it had a slight spicy note too. If you want a cold snack with drinks, this was a strong recommendation. I would order the muksabal again next time.

I really leaned into the snacks at Orai in Hogye. The two of us spent over 30,000 won just on drinks, which shows how much we liked the food. If you are looking for a Bomgye bar, I strongly recommend Orai. The lighting is flattering, so it would work well for a date too. #HogyeBar #BomgyeStationBar #BomgyeBar #BomgyeDate #BomgyeRestaurant #BomgyeStationBarRecommendation
