Lala Katsu Sanbon Myeongran Katsu and Sweet Potato Cheese Katsu
On a day that called for crispy pork cutlet, I visited Lala Katsu Sanbon near Sanbon Rodeo. The review covers its bright orange interior, made-to-order frying, myeongran katsu, and sweet potato mousse cheese katsu.
Hello, this is Ijjingne >< You know those lunch days when pork cutlet suddenly sounds perfect. I was tired of the usual rice meal and wanted something crispy, so I went to Lala Katsu, a pork cutlet spot in Sanbon Rodeo.

Lala Katsu Sanbon is very close to Sanbon Rodeo. It is on the first floor, so once you find the building and step inside, it is easy to locate. The bright orange styling really catches your eye.

The inside is orange too, and even the sofas are orange. I liked the bright, lively feel.

While deciding what to eat, the myeongran katsu caught my eye because I had never seen it before, so I picked that. I am a myeongran lover, after all. The teacher who came with me chose the reliable gochidone.

When you order at the kiosk, they fry it right away on the spot. There was also an Instagram follow and upload event. Joining and receiving the thick sweet potato curry sounded like a good idea, and the post says a soft drink was another option.

After about 10 minutes, our food was ready. The portions were much bigger than I expected. Each pork cutlet came with a different extra sauce: jalapeno sauce for the myeongran katsu and spicy pork cutlet sauce for the gochidone. Pork cutlet sauce, pickled wild garlic leaves, and pink salt seemed to be the basics, with other sauces served depending on the katsu.

This was the salad sauce that came with it. The container was so cute that I had to take a photo. It was sesame dressing, and the nutty flavor went well with the cabbage.

First, the myeongran katsu review. It did not let me down. Because a whole piece of myeongran was inside, I wondered before eating whether it might be salty or fishy, but it was neither. It was cooked just right and felt really appealing. The idea of putting myeongran inside pork cutlet and frying it together is impressive. I tried it with pickled wild garlic leaves, pork cutlet sauce, and pink salt, and for my taste the pickled wild garlic leaves were the best. It is not common to get them at a pork cutlet place, and the combination of pickled wild garlic leaves and myeongran katsu would bring me back.

Next was the gochidone. You can tell just from the photo that it is packed with sweet potato mousse. Thick cheese katsu with lots of sweet potato mousse is a combination that is hard to dislike. For me, gochidone with the spicy sauce was the best. The sweet potato mousse was not overly sweet, so dipping it in the sauce made the flavor just right.

The portions were so generous that I ended up leaving some behind. Since delivery and takeout are available, I packed the rest and brought it home. I was not tired of it and ate it again for dinner. For me, Lala Katsu counts as a Sanbon Station pork cutlet favorite. . . . #SanbonStationFood #SanbonPorkCutlet #SanbonKatsu #SanbonStationPorkCutlet #LalaKatsu #SanbonMealSpot #SanbonRodeoPorkCutlet #GeumjeongFood #SanbonKatsuSpot
