Anyang Good Morning Pastry Bakery Cafe Review
A review of Good Morning Pastry in Anyang 1st Street, with hours, cafe seating, pastry selection, chestnut pastry, almond croissant, cafe latte, condensed milk latte, and takeaway notes.
Hi, this is Ijjingne. Today I became my mom's bread errand runner and went out to Anyang 1st Street to buy bread. The only bakery my family always stops by when passing through Anyang 1st Street is Good Morning Pastry.

It is on the first floor of the Daedong Bookstore building at the large intersection in Anyang 1st Street where Sodamchon is located. Hours: 09:00-22:00 I usually buy bread on the way home, and since it is open until 10 p.m., even if I visit late, only some kinds are sold out and I can still choose bread. It is perfect for picking up something after work.

There used to be no tables, so it was takeaway only, but at some point it must have been remodeled because about three seats were added. I had known it only as a bakery, but it has quietly become a cafe. It would be nice to buy coffee or drinks and eat them with bread there.

There are many pastry types. There are also a few scones and chewy breads, but most of the selection is pastry. I came for pastry, so I was happy with that.

There were many pastries at room temperature, while pastries that needed refrigeration because of butter or cream were kept cool on the side. The red bean butter kept catching my eye, but since it seemed like a calorie bomb, I held back and chose something else.

There were also non-pastry breads such as apple pie, egg tart, and palmier carre, so there was a good variety to choose from.
There were really many kinds. After a long debate, I finally picked mine.

I chose the chestnut pastry my dad likes and a savory almond croissant. We seem to buy the chestnut pastry every time we go, and this was my first time buying the almond croissant, so I was looking forward to it.

I also ordered two coffees, and while the bread and coffee were being packed, I sat for a moment and waited. It was nice to have chairs now.

I packed a cafe latte and a condensed milk latte to go. The cafe latte was savory and strong. I like lattes best, and this one had a deep nutty taste. The condensed milk latte was also great: sweet from the condensed milk with that savory flavor added. It was my mom's drink, but I stole quite a few sips.

It was dinner time, but I could not resist and took a bite right away. Good Morning Pastry always packages everything carefully and separately, so toppings, powder, and cream do not mix together.

The chestnut pastry was chewy, crispy, and full of chestnuts, so it tasted rich and savory.

The almond croissant had plenty of almonds piled on top of the croissant.

Good Morning Pastry is the only bakery I go to in Anyang 1st Street. It is a place I trust, so it is worth stopping by to take home tasty bread.
