Midam Ansan Jungang-dong Pub Birthday Review
A birthday visit to Midam, a no-nationality pub in Ansan Jungang-dong, with dim lighting, highballs, mara beef belly noodles, weekend wait notes, and a thoughtful marshmallow cake moment.
I visited the no-nationality pub Midam in Ansan Jungang-dong to spend a small birthday celebration with a friend.

Midam is on the main street of Ansan Jungang-dong, on the 3rd floor of the Hanam Dwaeji-jip building. After getting off the elevator, it is immediately on the left. For parking, there are many public parking lots in Jungang-dong, so those should work. The hours are 18:00-02:00.

The kitchen is completely open, which somehow made it feel trustworthy. I quickly took photos when the crowd had thinned a bit, but when I visited around 7 p.m. on a weekend it was almost full. There can be a wait at peak times on weekends, so I recommend going early.

We sat in a two-person side-by-side seat. The interior was comfortably dim and decorated with candles and aurora-style lights. The atmosphere was exactly my taste.

They set the table with water. The tissue had a cute smile heart on it.
Drinking in this kind of atmosphere felt so good. The colorful sparkling lights throughout the space were really pretty.

Mara beef belly stir-fried noodles Suntory Kaku highball Peach highball
Since we had planned a second round, we ordered just one dish. We both love mara, so it was mara with one highball each.

The peach highball tasted like a sweet Peach Tree highball. It was my first time trying a Suntory Kaku highball; it had a lemon aroma, a bit of alcohol flavor, and a refreshing, clean taste. It was the most expensive highball on the menu, but it tasted worth it.

The dish came out almost 5 minutes after ordering. Maybe stir-fried dishes come out quickly. There was a good amount of beef belly, lots of bean sprouts for crunch, and plenty of mara aroma. The chewy noodles were so good when mixed with the egg yolk.

Since I met my friend for her birthday, I brought a cake when we entered. The owner must have noticed, because they asked if it was her birthday and brought out a marshmallow cake. I was genuinely touched. They kindly lit the candle too. Thank you to the thoughtful owner. Thanks to that, my friend and I had a happy time.
It was lightly toasted, so the outside was crisp and the inside chewy. It made a crunchy sound and had a nice chew.

The wall hooks for outerwear were another thoughtful detail. Jungang-dong has many lively pubs, but Midam was nice because you can have a relaxed drink in a calm atmosphere with soft lighting.
We had a small but definite happy moment with good food and drinks. I recommend it for dates, gatherings with friends, birthdays, and anniversaries. #AnsanJungangDongPub #GojanDongPub #JungangStationFood #AnsanPub #AnsanDate #JungangDongFood #JungangDongPub
