Chunri Malatang Anyang Branch: Solo Dining Review
A review of Chunri Malatang Anyang Branch near Anyang Station, covering the self-serve ingredient bar, 100g prices, spice levels, free rice for dine-in, takeout, and guobaorou.
Hi, this is Izzingne. On my way home from work, I suddenly craved malatang and thought of Chunri Malatang Anyang Branch, where I often went for solo dining near Anyang Station. I immediately changed to a bus heading to Anyang Station and visited.

It is very close to Anyang Station and Anyang Ilbeonga, so it is easy to find. Business hours are 10:00 to 24:00. Because it stays open late, it is also good for having mala xiangguo with drinks.

The self-serve bar was visible as soon as I entered. There were many kinds of ingredients, including the ones I like, and whenever a customer finished choosing ingredients, staff came over to tidy things right away. It made me think hygiene was well managed.

Malatang is 1,900 KRW per 100g, and mala xiangguo is 3,000 KRW per 100g. That felt like a reasonable price. Spice levels are divided from 0 to 5, so everyone from spice beginners to spice experts can order to taste.

Also, if you eat in the hall, rice is free. Sometimes you want rice after finishing malatang, so I liked that the rice is free.

After filling the bowl properly and seeing the price, it was time to check out. Please make it delicious for takeout. I filled a lot because two people would eat it, though of course it was based only on my preferences.

I ordered malatang, but then suddenly wanted mala xiangguo too. Chunri Malatang is rumored to be really good for guobaorou and mala xiangguo, enough to be known as an Anyang Station favorite. So I also ordered a small guobaorou. I would have regretted not getting it.

For meat, you can choose between beef and lamb. When I eat malatang, I usually do not add meat, so I skipped it. Meat is not priced separately by a fixed gram amount; it is weighed together with the other ingredients, so it would suit meat lovers well.

As soon as I got home, I set everything up. Putting food into a pretty dish makes it feel like I am treating myself, which puts me in a good mood. I filled it well, right?

Originally it came in disposable packaging, but I moved it to a pot to make the photo look nicer. I would have regretted not buying the guobaorou. It was sweet, sour, and crispy in exactly the right way.
Both the malatang and guobaorou were generous.

Because I ate it right after bringing it home, the malatang was still hot and ready to eat. I put the guobaorou in the air fryer for just a moment, and it was so good.

It was thin, chewy, and crispy, exactly the guobaorou texture I wanted. Malatang is the main dish here, but I also recognize it as a good place for mala xiangguo and guobaorou. If you are looking for malatang near Anyang Station, I recommend Chunri Malatang, which also works for solo dining.
