Bakdal-dong Jusik Pub Review in Anyang
A local Anyang review of Jusik, a second-floor Bakdal-dong pub with roomy seating, varied anju, seafood jjamppong soup, chadol bibim noodles, and friendly service.
Hi, this is Ijjingne. Today I visited Jusik, a pub I always passed on my way home from work and had wanted to try. There were not many good pubs near home, but this place was pretty nice.

Jusik is right next to Twosome Place at Bakdal Sageori. It is on the roadside, so it is easy to find. The pub is on the second floor, and the sign looked pretty.

With cold draft beer and a wide variety of anju, it works well for either a first or second round. I had been sad that there were not many pubs in Bakdal-dong, so this fit perfectly.

When I went up to the second floor, the interior was larger than I expected. I had imagined a small neighborhood pub, but this place also seemed suitable for company dinners or group gatherings.

Seafood jjamppong soup Chadol bibim noodles Steamed egg
The menu had a lot of choices. We visited as our first stop and somehow ordered three anju dishes, probably because we were very hungry.

The steamed egg and chadol bibim noodles came out first. The steamed egg was fluffy and savory, and wrapping the well-grilled chadol around the bibim noodles was such a good combination. The steamed egg and chadol bibim noodles are worth ordering together.

Then the seafood-filled jjamppong soup arrived. It had plenty of ingredients inside, including shrimp, clams, mussels, mushrooms, and squid.
It even came with lots of plump udon noodles. Usually noodles are an extra add-on, but at Jusik in Bakdal-dong they were included as the default.

With anju like this, we could not skip drinks, so we mixed soju and beer right away. We poured it with plenty of foam and added a reasonable amount of soju. My friend asked how I made it taste so sweet, so I joked that I needed a soju-beer certificate.

After eating hard and drinking soju-beer, I started wanting something cool and refreshing. I was looking at the menu, thinking about ordering one more dish.

Then the owner suddenly came over and gave us a complimentary dish. It was cold somyeon with a soy sauce seasoning full of chopped Cheongyang chili. We were told to dip small bites of noodles into the sauce. It was so good that I wondered why it was not on the menu.

There was a cute photo zone inside, and it looked like there might also be a smoking room. The restroom was near the entrance, locked, and managed by Jusik, so it was clean.
There were also card games and a worry-solving book. My friend and I asked the book all kinds of questions, opened pages, laughed a lot, and enjoyed that small bit of fun.

There was a cute neon sign too. The atmosphere would also work well for an Anyang date.

Thanks to the tasty anju and the owner who generously took care of us, I had a fun time chatting with my friend. I am happy this kind of pub opened in the neighborhood. I will be back to Jusik in Bakdal-dong often.
