Baro Pocha in Anyang: Terrace Bar and Dakdoritang
A review of the newly opened Baro Pocha near Hogyegu Sageori in Anyang, with terrace seating, late hours, sports broadcasts, draft beer, spicy dakdoritang with udon, and grilled chicken gizzard.
Hi, this is Ijjingne. Today I visited Baro Pocha, a new bar that opened in Hogye-dong. It seemed to have opened very recently. I had been curious since it was under construction, and I finally went.

It is located in an alley near Hogyegu Sageori, in front of Pyeongchon Doosan We've Riverview apartment. The business hours are listed as 15:00 to 03:00. There are not many places nearby that stay open late, so I was glad this one appeared.

There were about three terrace seats, and they had a strong camping-site feel. On a late summer night, it would be great to sit there with a cold beer and dry snacks.

Spicy dakdoritang with udon noodles. Grilled chicken gizzard with salt.
Since dakdoritang seemed to be the main item, we ordered one. I was also craving the nutty, salty taste of chicken gizzard, so we ordered it too.

The terrace seats were wide, and the inside was also fairly spacious with large tables. TVs were installed on both sides from the center of the interior, so it looked like it would be fun to drink while watching soccer or baseball broadcasts.

They were running a 2+1 draft beer event, so we went straight for draft beer. There were even two types, Kelly and Terra.

And the basic snack here was a fried egg. The crackers can be refilled, but an extra fried egg has an additional charge. It really had that neighborhood pocha feeling, and the bubbling looked cute enough to record.

The chicken gizzard came out first. Dipping the gizzard and onion together in the oil sauce they served made it savory, chewy, and tasty. For the price, the portion felt a little small.

Then came the main dish, dakdoritang. At first the broth seemed too watery, but after boiling it for a bit, it thickened and cooked just right. We added udon noodles. As the menu said, it was genuinely spicy, and it suited my taste. Since it is near home, it was good for a simple meal and drink. It was still chilly at night, so we sat inside, but next time I want to sit on the outdoor terrace and enjoy it coolly.
