Mokgumeong Anyang branch review for minari samgyeopsal near Anyang Station

Hi! I visited Mokgumeong Anyang branch again after quite a while. I like Mokgumeong enough that I have tried a few other branches, but I still end up visiting the Anyang branch most often. The staff were all so kind that the meal felt really pleasant from start to finish.

Mokgumeong Anyang on Daengnidan-gil in Anyang

The restaurant is on the main street of Anyang's Daengnidan-gil. It is on a corner at an intersection, and the look of the place stands out, so it was easy to spot even from a distance. Listed hours: 14:00-23:00. Saturday and Sunday: 12:00-23:00. On weekends, they start two hours earlier. Parking: parking is not available, so using a nearby public parking lot would be better.

Menu items ordered at Mokgumeong Anyang including samgyeopsal, minari, dogani doenjang, and bibim-myeon

Mibak samgyeopsal, with added minari. Dogani doenjang. Bibim-myeon.

For meat, they had samgyeopsal, moksal, and galbi bon sal, which is beef. There were also a reasonable number of side menu items. I had not seen bibim-myeon in a while, so I ordered one. My dad really likes dogani, and since they had dogani doenjang jjigae, we ordered that too. We first ordered three servings of samgyeopsal, then added two more servings later.

Mokgumeong Anyang dining room before the dinner peak

I visited in the early evening, so there were not many people yet. By the time we finished and were leaving, it was the dinner peak, and the place was almost full. Mokgumeong seems to be busy no matter which branch you visit. I was glad we came early.

Large pot-lid grill setup for Korean BBQ at Mokgumeong Anyang

The meat is grilled on a big pot-lid style grill. How could that not taste good? The banchan was set up right after we ordered.

Fair point.

Banchan setup with grilled bean sprouts, kimchi, onion pickle, gat-kimchi, ssamjang, and spicy sauce

I really liked the banchan, too. Bean sprouts and kimchi were prepared so they could be grilled together with the meat, and onion pickle and gat-kimchi came out as well. Gat-kimchi with samgyeopsal is seriously delicious. You can choose ssamjang or a spicy sauce depending on your taste. It was not self-service; the staff told us to call them comfortably if we needed anything. After a long time away from a non-self-service BBQ restaurant, eating felt even more convenient.

Thick samgyeopsal prepared for staff grilling at Mokgumeong Anyang

They grill the meat for you. It looked very thick and good quality. After ordering, they cut it right beside the table, and because we could see that process, it felt more trustworthy.

They handled the grilling thoroughly. Since all we had to do was sit and eat, it was so convenient. They cooked the meat to just the right doneness and adjusted it carefully so it would splatter as little as possible.

Generous portion of minari added to samgyeopsal at Mokgumeong Anyang

And the thing I always add when I go to Mokgumeong: minari. They give a really generous amount. The minari aroma was quite fresh and fragrant, so it matched perfectly with the meat.

Minari placed over samgyeopsal on the pot-lid grill

They placed the minari on top of the meat so some of the aroma could soak in. Once it wilted a little, they moved it to the sides and lightly grilled it in the oil. This way, the meat takes on the minari scent, and the minari also becomes savory from being grilled.

Additional samgyeopsal serving grilled during the second round at Mokgumeong Anyang

After finishing the first three servings properly, we added two more servings. The portion size was not small, but the meat was thick, so once we started eating, it disappeared quickly. Or maybe it disappeared because it was just that good? While the second round was grilling, we ate the side menus too.

Dogani doenjang with large tofu pieces at Mokgumeong Anyang

The dogani doenjang had plenty of dogani in it. The tofu pieces were large, and it included dogani and lean meat, so it was very, very tasty. It was a complete success for my dad's taste.

Bibim-myeon served as a side menu with Korean BBQ at Mokgumeong Anyang

We also made sure to eat the bibim-myeon. I usually eat this kind of BBQ with cold noodles, but this time I tried bibim-myeon for something different. Having it this way after a long time made it even tastier. If you are looking for a Korean BBQ restaurant around Anyang Ilbeonga or near Anyang Station, Mokgumeong Anyang branch is close by on Daengnidan-gil. I really recommend trying it; I do not think you will regret it. #AnyangStationSamgyeopsal #DaengnidanGilRestaurant #AnyangStationKoreanBBQ #DaengnidanGilSamgyeopsal #DaengnidanGilKoreanBBQ #AnyangKoreanBBQ #AnyangSamgyeopsalRecommendation #AnyangMinariSamgyeopsal #AnyangPotLidSamgyeopsal
