Cheongsan Byeolgok near Baegun Lake: Uiwang Korean Set Lunch
A personal lunch review of Cheongsan Byeolgok near Baegun Lake in Hakui-dong, Uiwang, with sotbap, Korean set dishes, refillable side dishes, parking notes, and weekend lunch tips.

Hello! Today I went out for a lunch date with my mom near Baegun Lake. I had visited this place before, and while looking for a sotbap and Korean-food style meal, I decided to return to Cheongsan Byeolgok after a long time.

We had the Korean set meal, and it was so good. The side dishes came out neatly, and there was not a single side dish I did not want to eat. I refilled dishes from the self-service bar several times and almost got too full.

The restaurant is near Baegun Lake in Hakui-dong, Uiwang-si. It is a good place to visit by car. The area right in front of the restaurant is used for parking, so parking was easy. Weekend lunch can get crowded, so I recommend visiting early. I went on a weekend slightly after the main lunch hour, and I was still surprised by how many customers there were. 📍 Opening hours 10:20-21:00 Last order: 20:20 📍 Parking Parking is available in front of the restaurant. Using public transportation may actually be difficult.

I let them know before visiting, and a window seat with a nice view had already been set up for us. Warm water and tableware were ready, so it felt cozy as soon as we walked in.

The interior atmosphere is also nice. There is wood everywhere, so it feels a bit like being at a countryside villa. It made the meal feel like part of a small trip, and the restaurant itself had a warm mood. It is not a huge, wide-open restaurant. Instead, it has many room-like spaces tucked throughout the inside. It works well for 2 to 4 people, and if around 6 to 8 people visit, you can be guided farther into a room and eat with a moderate sense of privacy.

Sotbap set meal Direct-fire stir-fried jukkumi
We ordered the sotbap set meal according to the number of people and added direct-fire stir-fried jukkumi as a side dish. 📍 They also have handmade pork cutlet and mini handmade pork cutlet, so it seems like a good place to visit with children. For elementary-school-age children and younger, you may not need to add another full set meal, and ordering a side pork cutlet could work well.

After ordering, house-made side dishes and ssam vegetables came out. All of the side dishes can be refilled from the self-service bar. The ssamjang was especially interesting. It was barley ssamjang with barley in it. It was not too salty and had a nutty flavor, so it was great for wrapping with the vegetables.
I took a photo of the full set menu, and seeing it all together made it look even more appetizing. The overall composition was so good.

The direct-fire bulbaek, which is part of the basic set meal, and the direct-fire stir-fried jukkumi that we added as a side dish were perfect as the main Korean dishes. They were especially good wrapped in ssam.

After all the side dishes were served, the sotbap and doenjang soup came out. Even though I visited a little after lunchtime, there were still quite a few customers. Even so, the food came out quickly. It had been a while since I had freshly cooked sotbap, so I was really looking forward to it.

The rice came out very well cooked. I scooped out the amount I wanted to eat, then poured hot water into the pot to make nurungji. At first glance, the rice portion might look a little small, but after eating the rice and then finishing with warm nurungji, you will be completely full. It was definitely not a small portion. The rice was warm and chewy, so it went well with the side dishes. The doenjang soup was also rich, spicy, and delicious.

I wrapped the direct-fire bulbaek in lettuce and the stir-fried jukkumi in steamed cabbage. Adding the barley ssamjang made the seasoning just right, and the nutty flavor was delicious. The side dishes were tasty too, and it is a good place to visit with parents. Who does not like sotbap? Next time I am near Baegun Lake, this is a place I would like to visit again. #BaegunLakeKoreanFood #BaegunLakeRestaurant #BaegunLakeHanjeongsik #HakuiDongHanjeongsik #HakuiDongRestaurant #BaegunLakeKoreanSetMeal #UiwangHanjeongsikRestaurant #UiwangRestaurant #UiwangKoreanFood #BaegunLakeLunchMenu #BaegunLakeLunchRecommendation
