Mas Bakery inside Beomgye Station is a convenient stop for cute crop-shaped breads, affordable pastries, and drinks. The review notes exits 1 and 4, 07:00–23:00 hours, and breads around 2,000–3,000 KRW.

Mas Bakery at Beomgye Station with cute crop-shaped bread

Today I visited Mas Bakery, a bakery in Beomgye. It sells adorable guhwajakmul bread—breads shaped like old staple crops such as potatoes and sweet potatoes. Because the shop is inside Beomgye Station, I could stop by comfortably on my way home from work.

Mas Bakery location inside Beomgye Station near exits 1 and 4

The location is inside Beomgye Station. It is right in front of exits 1 and 4, so it is easy to find. The opening hours are long, which makes it good for picking up bread on the way to work or after work. 📍Hours 07:00–23:00 I did not see a separate regular closing day listed.

Assorted pastries at Mas Bakery in Beomgye

When you enter Mas Bakery in Beomgye, there are many options besides the crop-shaped breads. I saw sweet red bean bread, chocolate items, coffee buns, and more. Even if you are not specifically looking for the crop breads, it would be fun to stop in, browse, and choose something. The price range was about 2,000–3,000 KRW per piece, and the other breads also seemed quite affordable.

Drink options at Mas Bakery including coffee lattes ades and teas

There are drinks too: coffee, lattes, ades, and teas. I heard Mas Bakery is also a good coffee spot, so I want to try the coffee next time. The drink selection looked convenient for pairing with bread. They also had 1L Americano and latte options, which seems useful for commuting.

Crop-shaped breads displayed like vegetables at Mas Bakery

Because the breads were displayed as if they were buried in soil, they looked surprisingly real. So cute. The types included potato, sweet potato, corn, whole chestnut, sweet pumpkin, green onion, and chili. I wondered what chili bread would taste like, but after trying the others, I felt they probably made that one taste good too.

Individually wrapped crop-shaped breads displayed in baskets

Even the way they were displayed in baskets made them cuter. The shapes looked so real that it was fascinating. Since each bread is wrapped in plastic, you can pick the one you want and take it to the counter.

Vin chaud Americano and iced tea in bottle-style containers

One funny detail: the vin chaud, Americano, and iced tea were packaged in oil-bottle-like containers. Somehow it gave off a rich, nutty(?) vibe. If disposable cups are inconvenient, this would be easy to put in a bag and carry. Since it was winter, they had vin chaud prepared too, and it seemed perfect for buying when you want a cozy seasonal mood.

Crop-shaped breads packed in an onion net from Mas Bakery

I chose the main attraction, the crop-shaped breads, and they packed them in an onion net to match the concept. ^^ I picked potato, sweet pumpkin, sweet potato, and carrot. If you buy more, they can also package them in a box that looks like a real produce box. That box packaging really made them look like actual crops, and I thought the idea was brilliant.

Here are the four breads. They are so soft-looking and cute. The outside is intentionally styled to look a little dirty, so it feels like they were just dug out of the ground. When my mom saw them, she asked what they were and said they looked like props.

After bringing them home, I cut them open to see the cross-sections, and the inside was adorable too. Unlike the other breads, the carrot one had a noticeable texture when chewing, so it tasted even better.

Cut-open crop-shaped bread showing the filling

The filling was like a sweet paste and was packed inside. Each type tasted different, and the vegetable aroma was not strong, which made them even more enjoyable. It made me curious about how the other varieties taste too.

I was curious about all the cut sides, so I sliced them all and stored them in an airtight container before eating. When I warmed the room-temperature bread in the microwave for about 10–20 seconds, it became warm and delicious. The filling inside was really soft, and the outside was chewy, so it was the kind of taste that keeps making you reach for more. I did not know there was such a cute bakery in Beomgye. I want to stop by again on my way home from work and buy a bundle. If you are looking for a tasty bakery in Beomgye, or if you use Beomgye Station during your commute, this is an easy place to pick up something simple. . . . #AnyangBakeryCrawl #BeomgyeBakery #BeomgyeDessert #BeomgyeRestaurant #BeomgyeBreadSpot #BeomgyeBreadCafe #BeomgyeStationBreakfast #BeomgyeBreakfastRecommendation #BeomgyeStationBakery #BeomgyeBakery
