Anyang Station Yumicatsu Tonkatsu Review
A review of Yumicatsu in Anyang 1st Street, with hours, kiosk ordering, assorted katsu, tteokbokki katsu, crispy tonkatsu, cheese katsu, shrimp tempura, and self bar.
Hi, this is Ijjingne. Today I visited a tonkatsu place I often go to in Anyang 1st Street: Yumicatsu. There are many pork cutlet restaurants, but not many fry it as tender and savory as Yumicatsu.

It is located inside Anyang 1st Street and close to the main street, so it is convenient to visit. Hours: 10:00-23:00 Last order: 22:50 It is interesting that last order is just ten minutes before closing. There is no break time, so it is easy to use whenever you want.

When you enter, you order and pay at the kiosk. The menu includes katsu, noodles, curry, and even tteokbokki.
Assorted katsu Tteokbokki katsu
I was craving crispy pork cutlet with spicy tteokbokki, so we ordered assorted katsu, which comes with shrimp tempura and cheese katsu, plus tteokbokki katsu topped with tonkatsu.

Inside, there were about six neatly arranged tables. Even the two-person tables were large enough to eat comfortably. I visited in the early evening, and after us, more people kept coming, including a group. Delivery orders came in about five times while I was eating, which made it feel like a confirmed popular spot.

After a short wait, the food came out quickly. The tteokbokki katsu looked so good that, because I was very hungry, I almost lost control when I saw it.

I only realized that tonkatsu and tteokbokki go this well together after eating this. The spicy tteokbokki cut through the richness of the crispy pork cutlet, which was excellent. I also liked that the flavor leaned more spicy than sweet.

Dipping the pork cutlet into the chewy tteokbokki sauce was great. The assorted katsu came with a large shrimp tempura, and the shrimp head had even been removed. Tartar sauce for dipping the shrimp tempura was served with it.

The cheese katsu had a solid piece of cheese inside, so the cheese stretched nicely and tasted good. Sometimes cheese katsu can get heavy if there is too much, but two pieces felt just right for me. Since the set included cheese katsu, shrimp tempura, and basic katsu, I could enjoy all three without getting tired of it.

Maybe because the tteokbokki katsu includes rice cakes, it did not come with rice separately, while the assorted katsu did. Sharing the tteokbokki and rice with each other worked out perfectly.

If you need extra sauce or anything else, you can get it from the self bar in front of the kitchen. Toothpicks and forks for children were also prepared separately.

After eating, I fully recommend this as an Anyang 1st Street restaurant. Yumicatsu seems to have many branches, and when you are craving pork cutlet, try it together with tteokbokki.
