Cheongidang Hanok Cafe in Uiwang: Baegun Lake Weekend Wait Review
Weekend review of Cheongidang, a hanok bakery cafe on Cheonggye-ro in Uiwang. The reviewer notes 09:00–21:00 hours, front parking, varied seating, a 10–15 minute weekend wait, and drinks like Cheongidang latte, iced Americano, and omija-odi tea.
Hi! Today I visited Cheongidang, a hanok cafe in Uiwang. My mom likes this place, so I had been here before. This time, after eating around Baegun Lake and looking for a cafe, I remembered our previous visit and looked it up again. There can be a wait on weekends, so keep that in mind.

It is located on Cheonggye-ro in Uiwang-si. Public transportation is not especially convenient, so visiting by car is probably the best option. 📍 Opening hours 09:00–21:00 There does not seem to be a regular closing day. 📍 Parking There is a parking lot in front of the cafe, so unless the cafe wait is really heavy, parking should not be a big concern. There are more spaces than you might expect, and I have not had trouble parking here.

The outdoor seats look especially nice for spring. The atmosphere is amazing because it really feels like sitting in a hanok. There are a few spots like this, and the indoor seating is varied too. They have both floor seating and table seating, so it is easy to choose based on your preference.

This area is farther inside. Since the weather was still a bit cold, people were not really using it. Once it gets warmer, these outdoor seats should be nice.

Cheongidang is a bakery cafe, so it had a surprisingly good variety of bread. There were signature breads as well, and the selection felt fairly broad. The prices are on the higher side, though. Since I had already eaten and was full, I only picked one item.

Cheongidang latte Iced Americano Omija-odi tea
I ordered the signature latte I had been curious about, the must-have iced Americano, and my mom’s pick, omija-odi tea.

The bread was a castella-style bread filled with cream. It had quite a lot of cream inside, so it was sweet and tasty. A knife is provided, so you cut it yourself before eating.

The Cheongidang latte is a latte with sugar around the outside of the cup. Drinking it with the sugar made it sweet and delicious. The Americano was good too. And the omija-odi tea that my mom was happy with was also quite tasty, with mulberry pieces inside. Because it was a warm tea, it was nice for warming up on a cold day.

There are lots of pretty corners around the cafe, so it would be a nice stop after a meal. Since it is a hanok cafe, next time I would like to sit in the floor-seating area inside. It is always busy on weekends, so I recommend visiting on a weekday. I waited about 10–15 minutes before getting in. #uiwangcafe #uiwanghanokcafe #baegunlakecafe #timevillascafe #uiwanglargecafe #baegunlakelargecafe #baegunlakefood #cheonggyefood #cheonggyecafe #hanokcafe #anyangcafe #anyanghanokcafe
