The Comma Lounge Anyang Ilbeonga Late-Night Sofa Cafe

Today I visited The Comma Lounge in Anyang Ilbeonga. The Korean review describes it as a 24-hour cafe, and the listed hours later in the post run very late, so it works well as a lounge cafe for a late-night visit. There is also a location in Gwangmyeong, which I used to visit, so I’m really happy there is now a closer branch. No need to go farther away when the Anyang Ilbeonga branch is available.

The cafe is located inside Anyang Ilbeonga. It had already been a cafe space before, so it felt clean and tidy. Hours: 11:00-04:30 A rare cafe open until the early morning. Parking: there is no separate parking lot. Park at a nearby public parking lot before visiting.

Maybe because it had newly opened, there were lots of congratulatory flower stands on the way up.

The overall lighting is a little dark, which gives the place a moody atmosphere. Most of the seats are sofas, so it did not feel like people would have to compete for seats, and it looked comfortable for reading a book or chatting. There are also table seats, so it seems good for studying or working too. There were some guests at the table seats, so I could not take photos, but they were large and spacious.

The coffee menu is varied, and decaf was available too. The Comma Lounge is also known here as a good cake spot, so I think you should order at least one cake. I tried all the varieties at the Gwangmyeong location, and the mugwort cake and pure milk cake were the best for me.

We visited after a meal, so we ordered nutty lattes. I also thought about dessert for a while, then decided to keep it simple this time with the milk cake.

Water is prepared separately so guests can take it themselves. Blankets are also set up on one side. After using a blanket, don’t put it back where it was; bring it to the counter. It seems they wash them before restocking, which felt very thoughtful. Review event: The Comma Lounge Anyang Ilbeonga Branch has a review event. If you write a Naver receipt review, they give you a financier as a service item. It is chewy and delicious, so try it if you can.

I chose this seat. I visited late on a weekday afternoon, and it was a little quiet. I liked it even more because it was a wide, soft sofa seat.

Both the vanilla latte and hazelnut latte were nutty, sweet, and had a strong aroma, which I liked. As for the cake, what more can I say? It was moist and so tasty. This is truly a great place for pure milk cake.

I brought my laptop because I wanted to finish watching Single’s Inferno at the cafe. There were outlets where I could plug in a charger, so it was convenient. It would be nice for watching Netflix over coffee, and because the atmosphere is so good, I also think it would work well for chatting with a friend, a date, or even a first meeting.

I also noticed a smoking room on one side, and I liked that the restrooms were separated by gender. Since this is a newly opened cafe in Anyang Ilbeonga, I hope anyone curious about it gives it a try. It stays open late, so visit at a relaxed pace and enjoy it.
