Hi! Today I visited Jungang Jeukseok Dakbal Anyang Branch. I went right after it opened last time, and it was so good that I came back after just one month.

Jungang Jeukseok Dakbal Anyang Branch review in Anyang 1st Street

The location is inside Anyang 1st Street, at the intersection with lots of bars. 📍 Hours 16:00 ~ 03:00 Last order: 02:00 A dakbal place that takes last orders until 2 a.m. is truly precious. 📍 Parking On-site parking is not available. You can park at a nearby public parking lot.

For parking around Anyang 1st Street, I recommend three public parking options. The price range is all similar, and the closest one is the parking lot near the rotary in front of Anyang Station, which is the nearest to Anyang 1st Street.

The restaurant has not been open for long, so it feels clean. The interior and tables are spacious, so you can eat comfortably. Maybe because it is a newer place, there also seems to be a photo review event. I really like events where they take your photo. A lot of people had already left photos there.

The basic table setting is cabbage salad and pickled radish. They are very important helpers for cooling down the spiciness of dakbal.

Set menu: Soup boneless dakbal with added mung bean sprouts Seaweed-flake rice balls Steamed egg Pepsi Zero

When eating dakbal, steamed egg and rice balls are must-haves, and this set menu includes both. So we ordered the set without hesitation. We added mung bean sprouts to the dakbal and ordered alcohol too. (Apparently Jungang Jeukseok Dakbal tastes best when you add mung bean sprouts.)

The food is cooked at the table, so it comes out quickly. While you are busy shaping the rice balls, the dakbal starts gently boiling.

Once the mung bean sprouts soften, let it boil strongly a little longer before eating. The owner comes by once to check whether it is sticking to the pan and whether the heat is being controlled well.

When the mung bean sprouts have softened and the rice cakes are fully cooked, it is ready to eat. Many people add glass noodles or bunmoza, and if you add those, you can eat as soon as those ingredients are cooked.

After letting it boil like this, the hot soup dakbal is ready. My favorite way to eat it is to put dakbal and Cheongyang chili on one rice ball and eat them together. I think the broth is the most important part of soup dakbal, and if I am being honest, I think this place is better than Hanshin.

The set menu also includes Pepsi Zero, so it was nice to have alongside drinks. I really like the set menu composition.

The steamed egg is fluffy like pudding and tastes good. The dakbal is quite spicy and very addictive, so cooling the heat with the steamed egg from time to time is perfect.

I had tried the fried dakbal before when it was given as a service item, and it was so good that I ordered it again this time. You can order them one by one, so my friend and I ordered one boneless and one bone-in.

Fried dakbal ordered as boneless and bone-in pieces

As expected, the boneless one was easy to eat in one bite, and the bone-in one was fun to gnaw on, with that crunchy texture. But you really should try at least one fried dakbal. The batter seems to have a unique seasoning. It was a flavor I had never tried before, and it was genuinely delicious.

On the way out, I noticed a somaek tower and a Squid Game Young-hee drinking game. When the university semester starts, this place seems like it would be fun for games. The seating is fairly spacious, and even when it gets lively, the atmosphere is good, so it feels just right for a college gathering. If I have friends who like dakbal, I definitely want to bring them to Jungang Jeukseok Dakbal. That is how good it is, so I recommend giving it a try. . . . #Anyang1stStreetRestaurants #AnyangDakbal #Anyang1stStreetDakbal #AnyangStationDakbal #AnyangStationRestaurants #Anyang1stStreetPub #AnyangPub #AnyangDakbalRestaurant #AnyangSpicyFood #AnyangSpicyDakbal #AnyangSoupDakbal #Anyang1stStreetSoupDakbal #AnyangCompanyDinner #AnyangGroupDining #SemesterPartyRecommendation #SpaciousAnyangPub
