The Comma Lounge: Late-Night Sofa Cafe in Gwangmyeong
A personal review of The Comma Lounge in Gwangmyeong GIDC, a late-night cafe with many sofa seats, desserts, parking, pet-access notes, and drinks like cold brew and green tea latte.
Hello from Izzingne! Today I visited a late-night cafe in Gwangmyeong. Lately I’ve been into relaxing on a cafe sofa and reading a book, and this is the place I keep going back to. I’m completely hooked, so I’ve visited often 😎

I tried quite a few things: Americano, cold brew, green tea latte, strawberry latte, vanilla latte, cake, and more. This is a real review after visiting three times ><

The location is inside the Gwangmyeong GIDC building. There are plenty of parking spaces, so it’s convenient to visit by car. The spot shown in the photo is the L-floor entrance, and if you go up one level, there is also a first-floor entrance.
To sum up the points that made me fall for this place: ✔ It is not an unmanned cafe ✔ Unlimited parking ✔ Lots of sofa seats + blankets ✔ Tasty drinks ✔ Open until around 3–4 a.m. ✔ The owner and staff are so kind... 👍

You can order through a kiosk. There were also many kinds of cakes and desserts. Maybe because it’s a late-night cafe, they also sell simple snack + beer sets.

Dogs can come along too. The upper floor with sofa seating is not available for pets, but I heard the terrace and first floor can be used freely.

The space feels open, and the sofas are wide and comfortable. At cafes with only one or two sofas, it can be hard to get the seat you want, but here, almost everything is a sofa seat, so anywhere is okay.

On my first visit, I sat in the diagonal corner farthest from the entrance. It felt cozy, but it was a little dark, so it was slightly uncomfortable for reading. I thought, next time I should try a different seat.

On my second visit, I came a bit earlier and had dessert too. I chose the ssuk injeolmi chiffon cake, and it was delicious because it was not too sweet and the bread was soft and fluffy. It paired perfectly with coffee. And the cold brew here is really good.

This is the financier I received after writing a Naver review event post. It was a plain financier, and it was chewy and tasty. Definitely try the review event 👍

On this day, the coffee machine was broken, so only cold brew or other drinks were available. Luckily, I had come thinking I should try the green tea latte instead of coffee. I ordered the green tea latte, but since I don’t like sweet drinks, I usually ask cafes to make drinks less sweet — and that day I forgot. After one sip, it tasted sweet for my preference, so I asked the owner if I could buy a little milk. The owner didn’t charge me and added more milk for me. I was grateful 🧡
On my third visit, I found my favorite seat. The lighting was just right for reading, the seat was spacious, and the front was blocked off, so it was easy to focus. These days, I’m living for the fun of going to The Comma Lounge to read. I also saw many people working on laptops or watching movies, and because the sofas are so wide, I noticed quite a few groups too. They play good music as well, so I really like this place. I plan to keep visiting often ><
