Simbongsadoroke Bakdal-dong Croquettes and Twists
A neighborhood review of Simbongsadoroke in Anyang's Bakdal-dong, featuring handmade croquettes, donuts, twisted donuts, takeout tips, reheating advice, and my favorite fillings.
Hello, this is Ijjingne. Today I visited Simbongsadoroke, a new croquette and donut spot in my neighborhood. They say it is so tasty that Sim Bongsa opened his eyes. It really was delicious.

The location is roughly between Bakdal Byucksan Apartment and Hanshin Apartment. If you live in Bakdal-dong, you have probably been to Bakssine Coffee; it is right next door. Hours: 11:00-19:00 Last order: 18:00

Croquettes and donuts are usually for takeout rather than eating in, so there are chairs inside where you can wait for packaging. I also sat briefly while waiting.
Croquettes were on the top, and donuts were below. It looked like they prepare croquettes and donuts in small quantities and sell them as they go. If you plan to buy a lot, calling ahead before visiting should help you get the items packaged the way you want.
I wanted the mozzarella croquette, but it was sold out at the time. The owner said they could make it in about 10 minutes, but I did not have time, so I chose other croquettes. If there is a specific croquette you want, I recommend calling ahead.

Since croquettes and donuts cool down a bit after takeout, they had written instructions for reheating. I wanted them crispy, so I put them in the air fryer for about one minute, and they tasted great.

The owner packed everything carefully. From the moment I entered until I left, they were so kind. It is the kind of shop I would want to visit often.

They looked so good. The croquettes and donuts were all large, crispy, and wonderfully chewy.

Crab croquette: this one was packed the fullest, with lots of crab. For value, the crab croquette may be the best. Cream cheese croquette: if you warm it slightly more than the others, the inside becomes very soft, nutty, and delicious, with plenty of cream cheese inside the crispy bread. Kimchi croquette: the kimchi was surprisingly spicy, which I liked. It was properly spicy, well seasoned, and felt like eating a crispy kimchi dumpling.

The twisted donut and sticky rice donut were chewy and tasty, but the red bean donut was the highlight. It was my first time seeing a place put this much red bean filling inside. After I brought it home, my parents took almost all of it, so I only got one bite. I plan to go buy it again tomorrow.

The cream cheese croquette became my favorite. Next time I visit, I want to stock up on the mozzarella croquette I missed and the red bean donuts.

There is also a small discount when buying sets, so it is perfect for keeping at home as a snack.
