Saisup Brunch Cafe in Anyang Art Park: Self-Paid Review
A self-paid weekday brunch visit to Saisup (사이숲) on the hill road in Anyang Art Park, with notes on parking, rooftop seating, hours, and the Couple B Set with pasta and steak.
Hi! I took a rare day of annual leave and went out on a weekday morning. I did not have the energy for anything too big, but I also did not want to spend the day lying around at home, so I visited Saisup (사이숲), a brunch cafe near my home in Anyang Art Park.

The cafe is located on the hill road in Anyang Art Park. The one downside was parking. I had heard there were parking spaces in front of the cafe, but, as expected, there were no empty spots, so I used a nearby public parking lot. It was an extremely hot day, and even after walking about five minutes, I was sweating a lot. Opening hours: 10:00-21:00 Last order: 19:40

This is the entrance to the cafe. It was really pretty, with a wide and clean feeling like the garden of a large house. The first floor seemed to be the space for ordering cafe drinks and the kitchen, while the second floor and third-floor rooftop were the dining areas. We chose seats on the second floor.

There were areas that looked nice for enjoying cafe drinks and other areas that felt better for a meal. This spot was right in front of the stairs, with low tables that seemed comfortable for coffee.

I also went up to look around the rooftop. On a nice day, I think the night view would be pretty. There was a shade canopy too, so once the weather gets a little cooler, the rooftop would be a nice option.

What we ordered: Couple B Set - Myeongran Avo Green Oil Pasta - Garden Party Steak - Earl Grey - Americano Handmade ricotta salad + seasonal fruit

We went in the morning, but maybe our appetites had opened up, because my mom and I ordered the Couple B Set and added a salad too. When we ordered, the staff let us know it might be a lot for two people, so I was a little worried, but it was not as much as I expected and we finished everything.

The salad came out first. I ordered it because it was written as handmade ricotta salad with seasonal fruit, but I wondered, where is the fruit? It was basically a salad topped with cherry tomatoes and ricotta cheese. This part was a little disappointing.

Second was the Garden Party Steak. The plate had a really varied composition. The meat was striploin, and it came with salad in the middle, plus fruit, mushrooms, bacon, shrimp, and more. The meat did not feel tough, but it was not especially tender either, so I would say it was just okay. I did like that I could eat it together with the vegetables.

Next was the Myeongran Avo Green Oil Pasta. Of everything we ordered, this was the tastiest. It was my first time trying this kind of pasta, and it was made with pollack roe, avocado, and basil, so the flavor felt different. Squid and dried seaweed were also mixed in, and they paired better than I expected.

The tableware was pretty, and the atmosphere and garden view were quiet and clean, so it was a good place for a simple brunch. Only the salad was a bit disappointing, and the rest was fine. I would like to have the pasta again next time.
