P&P Pasta House in Pyeongchon: Pizza, Pasta & Value

Hi! Today I visited P&P Pasta House, a well-known restaurant around Pyeongchon Hagwon-ga. I had a great memory of eating pizza here before, so I went straight after work on a weekday.

The restaurant is in the back alley just behind the main street of Pyeongchon Hagwon-ga. If you enter the alley opposite Gwiin Fire Station, you will see a red and blue sign on the right. It stands out, so it is easy to find. 📍 Hours Daily: 11:00-21:00 Last order: 20:30 Open every day except on the day of major Korean holidays. 📍 Parking Parking is not available at the restaurant. Because of the Pyeongchon Hagwon-ga area, there is not much parking space. The alleys near the restaurant have public street parking, so parking there is the most convenient option.

There are also two atmospheric outdoor seats outside. If it had been just a little less cold, I would have loved to eat outside with that nice feeling. I chose an inside seat because it was cold, but many customers seemed to want the outdoor tables. People were waiting for them, so this place really is popular.

P&P Pasta House is the kind of popular spot where waits happen often. I remember waiting the last time I came, and today was the same. During peak times on both weekdays and weekends, there can be a wait, so using Catch Table can help save time. Luckily, right after I joined the waitlist, one table opened up and I was able to go in right away.

The interior is also so pretty. Why does a Coca-Cola bottle with a ribbon look this cute?

The seating is made up of four-person tables, two-person tables, and one-person counter seats. The tables themselves are wide and the chairs are comfortable, so it was nice to use. Overall, the atmosphere feels warm—kind of Christmas-like and woody.

Small plates and pickles are self-service from the center of the restaurant. Ketchup, hot sauce, Parmesan powder, tissues, and utensils are neatly placed on each table. Orders are made by tablet, and payment is completed right after ordering. These days, I actually find this kind of system more convenient.

We ordered a set menu. It includes pizza, pasta, a side, and two drinks, and you can change each item to the menu you want.

Golden Egg Pizza Hot Spicy Seafood Olio Farmer's Chicken Salad Drinks

I ordered the Golden Egg Pizza, which is the reason I came back, along with a spicy oil pasta that seemed like it would go well with the pizza, a chicken salad to balance out the richness, and carbonated drinks. If a menu item requires an extra charge, you can pay the difference and choose from the full menu.

The tableware was clean and pretty. When they served the Coke, they also brought ice in a dedicated cup and included a straw.

The salad came out first. It was a chicken salad with sesame sauce, and the combination of nuts and sesame sauce made it really savory and tasty. Most of all, the portion was hard to believe for something in the 6,000-won range.

Second came the Hot Spicy Seafood Olio. It is a spicy seafood oil pasta, and it had large pieces of seafood such as squid, shrimp, and clam meat. The oil sauce was spicy, thick, and delicious. The noodles were cooked well too, so as someone who loves oil pasta, this was exactly my style.

As we were eating those two dishes, the pizza started to come out. Since the restaurant had a constant wait, the food did not come out extremely fast, but it came out one by one without making us feel like we had waited too long.

The pizza was honestly amazing. This is what I go here to eat. First, the dough is chewy and thin—really chewy. And the cheese goes in at an almost explosive level. You can see the cheese-covered look, right? At this point, it almost feels like Chicago pizza. They also add big portions of egg mayo, and it is on a level that does not make sense. Definitely try it.

We ordered such a great combination that everything tasted good, and we left completely full.

Honestly, the set menu is a bit much for two people. I recommend finishing the pasta, salad, and side dishes, and if there is pizza left, packing it to go. I also had some pizza left and took it home, and somehow it was still so good when I reheated it the next day.

P&P Pasta House is a very popular Western-style restaurant in Pyeongchon.
