98 Percent Deli Beomgye: Ciabatta Sandwiches and Chewy Bread
A personal visit to the new 98 Percent Deli in Beomgye, Anyang, covering ciabatta sandwiches, jambon beurre, coffee, takeout-only seating, hours, and parking.
Hi! Today I visited 98 Percent Deli, a new sandwich spot in Beomgye. I had been to 98 Percent Cafe a few times and liked it, so when I heard they opened a sandwich-focused 98 Percent Deli, I had to go. I really love ciabatta sandwiches, so I headed over right away.

The location is at the far end of the Pyeongchon/Beomgye Station area. Come up from Beomgye Station and walk all the way to the end of the Rodeo area. It is also somewhat close to Pyeongchon Station. From Beomgye Station: about 5-10 minutes on foot From Pyeongchon Station: about 10-15 minutes on foot 📍 Hours 10:00-20:00 Closed every Sunday. 📍 Parking Parking is available in the building, but it is said to cost 3,000 won per hour. Parking in the building or using the Beomgye Station public parking lot seems like a good option.

98 Percent Deli uses ciabatta made with a naturally fermented starter and without butter, sugar, or eggs. Maybe because of that, it felt easy on the stomach after eating and worked really well as a meal.

They have a variety of ciabatta: double cheese, olive, plain, sweet pumpkin, potato bacon, fig cream cheese, and tomato basil. They are good on their own, but if you choose one, they can also make it into a sandwich right away. A sandwich made with the ciabatta you want sounds even better, right?
Take a look at the ciabatta options if you visit.

These are sandwiches made with the basic ciabatta. They had them ready so you could grab them and go. I liked that they only prepared one of each sandwich at a time.
Fresh Jambon sandwich Jambon Beurre Iced Americano Iced Vanilla Latte
As a jambon lover, I chose two types of jambon sandwiches: one Fresh Jambon with vegetables and one Jambon Beurre with butter.

They also had the chewy bread that was sold at 98 Percent Cafe. I was thinking of buying one if they had the Dubai chewy bread, but unfortunately they did not. The other kinds looked good too, but I decided to try the chewy bread next time.

It looks like they prepare fresh fruit juice every day. On the day I went, they had mango and strawberry. They also have ades and coffee drinks, so they would be good with a sandwich.

They packaged the coffee nicely, so I headed home with the sandwiches. The Americano was nutty and good, and the vanilla latte had a rich coffee flavor, so the coffee was great too. For reference, 98 Percent Deli is a takeout-focused shop. There were no tables inside.

The ciabatta was seriously soft and fluffy. The outside was crisp while the inside was full and airy. The bread was so nutty and flavorful that the sandwich was delicious, but I also thought it would taste good on its own. After trying the sandwiches, I became curious about the other ciabatta varieties too, especially potato bacon and double cheese. Next time I visit, I want to try a sandwich made with double cheese ciabatta.

The Jambon Beurre had a nice balance of savory butter and salty jambon. It is exactly the kind of sandwich I would want for brunch in the morning. It had been a while since I had a sandwich with fresh butter, and it really woke up my appetite and put me in a good mood.

The Fresh Jambon sandwich has vegetables inside: tomato, cheese, greens, jambon, and basil pesto. Jambon plus basil is almost unfair. With plenty of vegetables, it was filling and felt perfect as a full meal.

The size is fairly large, so I cut it in half to eat. There were many other sandwiches, but I recommend the Fresh Jambon. It goes well with the ciabatta, and the combination is satisfying enough for a meal, so I really liked it. Since it is a new sandwich spot in Beomgye, it is not famous yet, but I hope more people try it. I am 100% willing to revisit. . . . #BeomgyeStationCafe #BeomgyeStationBakery #BeomgyeBakery #AnyangBakery #BeomgyeCafe #BeomgyeSandwich #BeomgyeCiabatta #BeomgyeBakeryCafe #AnyangCiabatta #AnyangBakeryRecommendation #AnyangBakery #BeomgyeBreadSpot #BeomgyeSandwichSpot #AnyangSandwichSpot #98PercentCafe #ChewyBread #AnyangChewyBread #BeomgyeChewyBread
