Yongin Birch Forest Reopening Review, Fees and Night Views
A source-based Yongin Birch Forest reopening review covering Cafe Betulla, Casafore, admission fees, hours, weekday parking, umbrellas, fountain, metasequoia path, waterfall, lake trail, observatory, and night views.
Hello from Ijjingne. Today I visited the newly opened Yongin Birch Forest. Inside Yongin Birch Forest, there is also Cafe Betulla and the restaurant Casafore. Yongin Birch Forest had officially opened in April, but because too many people came from opening day, operations became difficult and it took time to reorganize before reopening. The source mentions traffic paralysis, a basic three-hour wait just to leave the forest entrance area, and drinks coming out two hours after ordering at the cafe.

I understood why people had come, because the inside was very pretty. I even got a photo I really liked. Here is the review of Yongin Birch Forest.

First, I visited on a weekday Monday after making a 6:30 p.m. Naver reservation for Casafore. I arrived around 6 p.m., and the parking lot was relaxed. Since it was a weekday afternoon, the crowds may not have gathered.

One thing that changed after reopening was that an admission fee was added. Adults were 5,000 won, teenagers were 3,000 won, and children 13 and under were free, with discounts for Baegam-myeon residents. The source lists hours as 10:30 to 21:00, closed every Tuesday. When I took the admission ticket to Casafore, they exchanged it for one drink, choosing among orange juice, grape juice, or maesil, or for one admission ticket to use on a return visit. That made the admission fee feel less wasteful.

The umbrella rental was also impressive. It would be romantic in the rain, and it also blocks the sunlight, which felt thoughtful.

The view as soon as I entered looked like a very large garden.

There were also cute signs guiding the way.

This is the famous Cafe Betulla. It has three floors, and because of this cafe, open-run timing is said to be essential on weekends. The source says bread can be sold out by early afternoon, so if you want a relaxed seat and bread experience, going right at opening is the answer.

It seemed worth coming early. It was pretty even from outside, so I wondered how beautiful the view would be from inside the cafe.

Before reaching the cafe, there is a main fountain, and looking around this garden is fun too. If you look closely at the fountain, you can see a rainbow, though it did not show up well in photos.

This is the famous metasequoia road. I thought taking photos would be difficult, but there were so few people that I was a little surprised.

After passing the main fountain and the cafe, the path goes up toward Casafore. It must be even prettier when flowers bloom.

After going all the way up, I came across a huge waterfall. Just looking at it felt refreshing.

After passing the waterfall, there is a path into the greenhouse garden, and the Casafore entrance is inside the greenhouse garden.

There were many chairs and tables throughout the area, so there seemed to be enough places to sit. There were lights in several spots, which also made it good for photos.

Cute seven dwarfs welcomed visitors. There was also a small stream, and decorating the route to the restaurant like this felt romantic.

I ate this much at Casafore. I planned to write the Casafore review separately, with more tips in that post.

After eating, I was so full that I walked a little. Around Casafore, there was a D-shaped lakeside walking path, and at night the lights were very pretty.

I decided to go to the observatory visible ahead. The lights along the way were also beautiful.

On the first floor of the observatory, there was a very large sofa and a vending machine beside it. Since it was night, there were many bugs.

To go up to the observatory, you had to change into slippers and climb the stairs. If you are worried about losing your shoes, carry them with you. The stairs were very tiring and seemed endless. Since I climbed after eating, it was hard, but I arrived just in time.

Because the photo was taken at night, I was reflected in it. Photos from the observatory during the day are pretty too, but the night view also had a good mood.

On the way down, I saw Casafore and Betulla again. Night views really benefit from good lighting.

The waterfall I saw earlier was also decorated with lights, and the tree I saw on the way out looked brilliant.
Yongin Birch Forest seemed to put a lot of care into the night view too. I recommend it as a date course near Yongin, because you can eat, drink coffee, and walk all in one place.
