Yongin Birch Forest Casafore Lake View Restaurant Review
A source-grounded review of Casafore inside Yongin Birch Forest, with Naver reservation, greenhouse approach, lake view, pasta, salad, pizza, entry-ticket drink exchange, and a lakeside walk.
Hello from Ijjingne. Following my earlier review of Yongin Birch Forest, I brought a review of Casafore, the restaurant located inside the forest. For the detailed Yongin Birch Forest review, please refer to the earlier post mentioned in the source.
I visited on a weekday when it was not crowded and shared several spots there, so it is worth checking that review too.

After entering the forest, follow the signs and continue upward until you see the greenhouse garden. Casafore is past the greenhouse garden, farther inside.

The inside area was decorated nicely, and there were plenty of places to sit. If you buy a drink at Cafe Betulla but cannot find a seat, coming here could be one option.

After walking through the beautifully decorated garden, the entrance appears.

I visited after making a Naver reservation, so they guided me to a seat right away. The window seat was a nice bonus. Because the place was newly opened, it looked clean, and the space was filled with plants and flowers, making it a strong date-course setting.

The interior was very large, mostly with four-person tables, and I also saw eight-person seats. I visited before May 15, and the source says a notice later announced that after the 15th they would accept reservations only for groups of six or more. For fewer than six people, the source suggests visiting in person. Since entry may already be competitive, the reviewer expected weekend open-run timing to be necessary.

We ordered a lot for two people. I heard that a chef from a restaurant I used to visit years ago was here, so I came all the way to Yongin for that chef's pasta. I wanted to try several dishes but did not want to leave food, so we planned to eat one slice each of the pizza and pack the rest. At that time, pizza was 20% off.

The lake view through the full windows was impressive. While waiting for the food, I kept looking outside.

The seat they guided us to was already set, and they brought water and pre-meal bread right away. The bread was warm, with nuts in it, and it was savory and delicious.

They brought the salad before the main dishes, which was a nice touch. It came with three kinds of mushrooms, button, shiitake, and king oyster, plus sous-vide striploin steak and vegetables.

The doneness of the striploin steak was excellent. It was very tender and almost melted as soon as I ate it. I do not like meat that is too undercooked, and this came out with a soft doneness and just enough sauce, so it matched my taste perfectly.

Then came the long-awaited anchovy pasta. I came all the way to Yongin to eat this. The anchovy pasta had a generous lamb chop on top, the lamb was tender and easy to eat, and the shishito pepper garnish was excellent. I would order the anchovy pasta again next time.

The spicy shrimp was a spicy rose pasta. It felt more cream-heavy than tomato-heavy and was not extremely spicy, so the source says it might even be manageable for children. It also had 15 large shrimp, so two people could share without arguing over shrimp.

The pizza came out last, and I did not get a solo shot because I was busy eating pasta. With a little exaggeration, the cheese flowed like a Chicago-style pizza. As a Margherita, it had a strong basil aroma, and it felt like a real Margherita.

This was the drink exchanged for the admission ticket. You could choose orange, grape, or maesil. Cafe Betulla did not seem to have this benefit, but Casafore did. The orange juice tasted like Del Monte orange juice.

Of course, we each ate one slice of pizza and packed the rest. Since it was a weekday afternoon, the food came out faster than I expected. Only about one-third of the interior had guests, so it felt relaxed. The staff were all kind and attentive.

It was nice to walk after eating. Getting into the car immediately after feeling extremely full can feel uncomfortable, so we walked along the D-shaped path around the lake we had been looking at.

On the way out, I saw Casafore at night. The lighting and interior design looked impressive.
Casafore was very tasty, and I recommend it as a Yongin date course.
