A personal review of What The Burger Pyeongchon Direct Branch near Pyeongchon Station Exit 3, with handmade burgers, crispy fries, takeout, kiosk ordering, parking, and hours.

Hi! Today I found a true handmade burger spot in Pyeongchon. I had been passing by this place for a while and kept thinking I should try it someday, and I finally made it in.

The location is W Ace Tower at Pyeongchon Station. It is about a 5 to 7 minute walk from Pyeongchon Station Exit 3. It is not tucked deep inside the building; it sits on the corner of a big intersection. 📍 Hours 10:30 to 22:00 Last order: 21:30 Open year-round 📍 Parking Parking is available in the building parking lot. It also seemed like parking support was available.

For a handmade burger place, the menu was really varied. Since the burgers are made after you order, you may need to wait a little, but I was fine with that. They also said several new menu items had recently come out. There were so many choices that it took me a while to decide, but it was a very happy dilemma.

That is what I ordered, and I placed it as a takeout order so I could eat it at home.

The interior was spacious and clean. There was also a self-service bar where you could take sauce, tissues, utensils, and other items.

Most of the seating was made up of tables for 2 to 4 people, and I liked that the space felt roomy. There are many offices nearby, so I imagine it is popular at lunchtime. I visited in the early evening, and there were still quite a few customers.

Ordering through the kiosk was convenient. The wait was about 10 minutes, which I was very satisfied with. They packed the takeout carefully and even marked the bags separately. I also appreciated that they included tissues and a fork.

The smell on the way home was so good that I had to stop myself from opening it right away. The burgers were packed in paper boxes, so they looked nice even as takeout.

First, the fries were slightly thick, but not soggy at all. They were crispy. They did not look heavily seasoned, but when I tasted them, they were nicely salty and really good. At many other burger places, fries can be soggy or too salty, but the fries at What The Burger were exactly my style.

This is What The Fry, the signature item among the chicken fries. It comes with boneless chicken topped with a special sauce. That sauce was genuinely delicious. While eating it, I also tried dipping the fries into the sauce, and it was so good. I think What The Burger is also a sauce spot.

The Beef Whole Shrimp Burger lets you enjoy both a shrimp patty packed with whole shrimp and a meat patty. It was juicy, savory, and slightly sweet in a way that felt almost addictive. Shrimp and meat together really do not need much explanation. The burger was not small, and the fillings were generous, so I was very happy with it.

Second was the Double Deep Cheese Burger. It is a burger with plenty of cheese, but it was not as greasy as I expected. Maybe because of the sauce, it also had a sweet note. The onion inside made it even better. I also think the bun is important, and the bun at What The Burger was really good. It was savory, chewy, and crisp all at once, so I felt like this place does the buns well too. Handmade burgers really are better than franchise burgers. Since eating at What The Burger, I have become hooked on hamburgers even though I did not used to eat them often, so lately I have been buying burgers a lot.

The owner was kind, and the food came out faster than I expected, so I was completely satisfied. Especially because the fries and the buns were so good, I recommend trying What The Burger. #BeomgyeRestaurants #PyeongchonStationRestaurants #BeomgyeLunch #BeomgyeHamburger #AnyangHandmadeBurger #PyeongchonHandmadeBurger #PyeongchonRestaurants #BeomgyeBurgerRestaurant #PyeongchonBurgerRestaurant
