Starfield Suwon Food and Date-Course Review

Hi, this is Izzingne. Starfield Suwon opened about half a year ago, and I finally went. I had seen crowded photos on social media and could not bring myself to go, but visiting on a weekday evening was more relaxed than expected. Most of all, it was wonderfully cool inside. We went up to the restaurant area for dinner first.

I chose Sotbapyechan because I wanted something easy on the stomach. Rice is always a good dinner choice. It looked like a place by master Kim Sung-gil. There were nine menu options, and we decided on salmon sotbap and cockle sotbap.

One nice thing about the Starfield Suwon restaurant area is that it is set up like a food court, so you can order different foods one by one. After ordering, we even thought we should have ordered just one sotbap and brought tteokbokki from another spot.

Still, since we had ordered, we waited and decided to enjoy it properly. After about 15 minutes, the food came out. The cockles were generously included.

The salmon had four pieces. With flying fish roe added, it tasted nutty, savory, and nicely salty.

I set the salmon aside a little, mixed the rice well with the flying fish roe, and ate it together with big pieces of salmon. It was so good. My mom thought the cockle sotbap was just okay, but I really liked the salmon sotbap.

A spoon shot from mother and daughter. If you are looking for a rice-based meal at Starfield Suwon, Sotbapyechan seems like a decent choice.

The water I poured in as soon as the food came out turned into tasty nurungji, so I ate it happily with kkakdugi. After a decent meal and a full stomach, we walked around and found Bbau.

Bbau is a doughnut shop. The options included Bbau doughnuts, walnut red bean, yuja filling, stretchy cheese, and vegetable hot dogs. Lots of people seemed to buy one and eat it while walking around.

I ordered a box to eat the next day. If you order a Bbau box, you can choose six kinds and get a 1,000 KRW discount. Since it comes boxed, it is easy to carry and just right for taking home.

They fried the items to match the order right away. I am not sure whether they always fry after ordering or whether it happened because there were many people, but receiving freshly fried doughnuts felt great.

Because they had just been fried, they smelled sweet and delicious. Ketchup was prepared for hot dog customers. I packed everything up neatly and brought it home.

On the way out from Bbau, American Trailer was there too.

My mom likes the juice there, and since we had eaten, we ordered one as a palate cleanser.

My mom's favorite is the Triple Vitamin juice. It has grapefruit, lemon, and orange, so I guess that is why it is called Triple Vitamin.

They juice the fresh fruit just like this. Even though the price is a bit high, it feels worth drinking because it is fresh fruit juice. They also say they use only organic sugarcane syrup, so it felt reliable.

It was refreshing, cool, and sweet.

I also took the photo everyone seems to take. I had seen it a lot in pictures, but it felt different in person. I did not expect much, but it was surprisingly pretty.

Finally, I got a ball pouch at Malbon Golf, stopped by the Odung-i popup, and picked out a cute pajama Odung-i magnet. Starfield has lots to see and lots to eat, so I recommend it as a date course.
