Leaf Coffee Bar in Songnidan-gil for Kaymak and Coffee
A weekend visit to Leaf Coffee Bar near Seokchon Lake and Songnidan-gil, with kaymak, signature coffee, terrace seats, waiting notes, and cafe details.
Hi, this is Izzingne. I went out to Seoul for the first time in a while. After shopping with a friend at Jamsil Lotte Mall, we looked for a cafe on Songnidan-gil and ran over as soon as we heard there was a good kaymak place.

It is inside Songnidan-gil, so if you follow the map through the alleys, you can find it fairly quickly. It looked like there may be about one parking space in front of the shop. Hours: 10:00 to 22:00. Last order: 21:30. There were also about two or three terrace seats outside.

Outside the cafe, there was a pretty tree covered with brown ribbons.

We visited around 4 p.m. on a Saturday. There were about five teams waiting ahead of us, and about three more teams came right after us, so it looked hard to avoid a wait even if you arrive around 3 or 4 p.m. on a weekend. But after about 10 minutes, three teams inside left and some waiting teams did not show up, so we got in after only 10 minutes.

They told us we could choose among three seats, so we picked the corner seat in the back. It was a nice spot to take photos and chat with a friend.

Leaf Coffee Nutty Blanc Kaymak with plain bread and honey
We ordered both signature coffees. There were other desserts besides kaymak, but both of us love kaymak, so we chose it without hesitation.

It looked like they also sell beans, tumblers, and goods.

After ordering, we waited about five minutes before the coffee and kaymak were brought to our table. I was so excited for the kaymak.

The outside of the plain bread was lightly toasted and crisp, while the inside was soft and moist. Eating it with kaymak and honey spread on top was excellent.
We spread it on generously. Both of us were completely focused on the kaymak. It was sweet, nutty, and delicious.

Leaf Coffee is an Einspanner-style drink with an Americano base, orange cream, and orange chips on top. I had tried coffee with orange before and remembered the pairing being better than expected, so I ordered it here too. It was very good. Maybe I like bright, citrusy flavors more than I realized.

Nutty Blanc is a latte-based Einspanner with nut cream on top, giving it a nutty and sweet feel. I tried one sip from my friend, and it was a little too sweet for me. The cream was very rich and sweet, but my friend loved it. Other than the strong sweetness, I thought it was fine.

By the time we were leaving, it had gotten quite dark outside. I took a photo while the bar seats were empty. Since this place specializes in hand-drip coffee, I think it would be nice to sit at the bar for hand-drip coffee next time.

The restroom is inside, separated by gender, which was nice. The inside was clean too.

At night, the lights on the tree came on and looked pretty. I took one mood shot before leaving. There are many pretty cafes on Songnidan-gil, but as far as I know, Leaf Coffee Bar is the kaymak spot. I recommend it.
