Solago CC Sol and Lago Course No-Caddie Round Review
A first-round review at Solago Country Club covering a weekday no-caddie Sol Course tee time, a switch to Lago Course, fees written in the source, night-round visibility, course condition notes, and beginner impressions.
Hello, this is Izzingne. Today I am writing about my first-ever golf round. I had been playing golf for about a year and a half, with a three-month break in the middle, then got interested again. After six more months of practice, I started wanting to finally get out on a course. My college friend Jyung, the only golfer around me, suggested we go, and that is how we started booking Solago.

I already had a caddie bag and clubs, but as a beginner golfer, I had no proper golf clothes. I bought golf wear and a must-have ball pouch, then spent the days before the round preparing hard. I went to the practice range almost every day and also started lessons with a pro.

I happened to find a cute Odung magnet, and it looked perfect as a ball marker. I picked it as my marker and hoped it would bring luck on the green. In reality, the green was where this beginner struggled the most, but I was still excited to go.

On D-day, a sudden shower came down hard on the way there, so I was worried. As soon as we arrived, though, the sky cleared up. We dropped off our caddie bags and started check-in. I had not signed up as a member yet, so I also completed membership registration.

After check-in, I received a locker and went in to change into golf wear. I did not take photos in the locker area for privacy. Once I changed, I was really excited. We visited as three people for a weekday no-caddie round on the Sol Course. The source lists green fee 10, cart fee 10, and cart cleaning fee 2. The reviewer heard it was very affordable, and the total spent at Solago that day was under 15 per person as written.

After changing clothes, we went down and the staff loaded the golf bags onto the cart. If you have extra time, you can practice at the green practice area right in front, but when we went down, other golfers were already there. Our original tee time was 17:50, but we arrived early and were ready by 17:00, so staff said we could tee off early and we started right away.

We rode the cart to the first hole of the Sol Course. The sky was clear and sunny, as if it had never rained, which also meant it was incredibly hot. The grass looked to be in good condition.

Even with no caddie, Solago loaded water onto the cart. It was lukewarm, so we drank the ice water we had brought separately. The sunset was beautiful, and we got to enjoy a pink sky.

Because we were beginners, we were worried about slowing down the pace. We played without using mulligans and stayed busy, and suddenly the front nine was already over. Maybe there was no team behind us, or maybe our pace was okay, but no one was chasing us. Back at the clubhouse, many carts were lined up and they were handing out ice pops. The ice pop was very sweet, cold, and perfect.

We were about to begin the second half on Sol, but a staff member said there might be a long wait and asked if we would be okay playing Lago Course instead. We were happy to do that. Lago green fees are higher, and trying different courses sounded good. After experiencing it, I understood why Lago was priced higher. Some greens on Sol had construction areas blocked off, and some were less green with more brown patches. Lago's green condition was much better.

Jyung and I enjoyed the second half too. Solago was so pretty. Even though it was the back nine and we could have been tired, Lago Course felt more fun.
This was my favorite shot, so I included it. Thanks to the lighting, the night round was still bright. There was no problem hitting the ball, and because the sky was dark, it was actually easier to see where the ball flew.

After playing hard, I finished my first round with 108 strokes. Since it was no-caddie and we were playing for fun, we moved balls from bunkers to the rough and gave okay putts even when they were a bit past conceded distance. Even so, 108 was the result. As a beginner, I was very satisfied.

I was grateful to Jyung for joining my first round. Now that I have felt how fun rounding can be, I want to practice more and get under 100. Solago was very fun, and for value or a first beginner round, I strongly recommend it. This was a lucky beginner's review after experiencing both courses in one visit.
