Seongsu Dotnote Perfume Workshop Review
A Seongsu Dotnote perfume workshop review covering the tablet-guided process, scent selection, hours, parking note, and why it felt private and relaxed.

Hi, this is Ijjingne. I visited Dotnote, a perfume workshop in Seongsu-dong. I enjoy visiting perfume workshops and look for them often, and Dotnote was especially satisfying because there was not much direct intervention from the perfumer compared with other workshops.

The location is close to the main street in Seongsu-dong. Parking is not available at the shop, so using a nearby public parking lot is recommended. The hours are 11:00 to 22:00. I visited after making a Naver reservation.

When you go up to the second floor, you see a clean perfume workshop interior. It was so pretty that it almost felt like walking into an exhibition.

Because this is a workshop experience, I reserved in advance. The needed materials and a tablet were already set up when I arrived, and everything looked tidy.

Every space had its own charm and looked beautiful. It felt like I had come to make something special.

The objects at the front were also pretty. They said the area was made for taking photos after finishing the perfume, and it really looked beautiful.

In front of the counter-like area, there was an interesting piece of equipment. Later I realized it held the liquid that would be added to the scent I made.

Perfume making at Dotnote is mostly done through the tablet. You follow the steps on the tablet, and because you can keep pace with the friend you came with, it feels relaxed rather than rushed.

You start by thinking about the scent you like or the scent you want to make, then choose your preferred fragrance direction. After deciding on the feeling I wanted, I moved to the fragrance section in the back.

There are six fragrance shelves, and each team of two uses one shelf to choose scents. The selection time is around 10 to 15 minutes, but there were so many scents I liked that narrowing them down was difficult.

Each person chose six scents in total: two top notes, two middle notes, and two base notes.

You combine the selected scents by adding the number of drops you want. When the scent comes out the way you like, you make it into perfume. Shake it well so the scent blends.

After finishing the blend, you tell the perfumer, and they calculate the grams based on the number of drops you added. Then you add the fragrance oils into the beaker according to the grams you received.

You pour your blended fragrance oil into the prepared perfume bottle, and the perfumer takes it and adds the perfume base.

The finished perfume looked very pretty. Taking photos on the object display made it look even better.

You can write a perfume name, and the scent family you selected is printed together on the label.

There was also a review event where you could make a roll-on perfume, so I swapped roll-ons with the friend I visited with. There are many perfume workshops, but if you come to Seongsu-dong, I recommend Dotnote. I liked that there was very little perfumer intervention and that I could spend private-feeling time making perfume with a friend.
