Sanbon Baekse Heukyeomso Chueotang Black Goat Review

Hello, this is Ijjingne. Today I went with my parents to Baekse Heukyeomso Chueotang (백세흑염소추어탕) in Sanbon Rodeo for a nourishing meal. With summer coming, we stopped by to recharge with black goat dishes. :)

Parking is available in a mechanical parking facility on the first floor. Because our car was an SUV, parking there was difficult, so we parked at Sanbon E-Mart and ate first. We were planning to shop after the meal, which is why E-Mart worked for us. Otherwise, the underground public parking lot at Sanbon Rodeo also seemed like a good option. Business hours: 10:00-22:00

The restaurant is on the second floor. On the way up, there was a black goat doll, which made me feel just a tiny bit sorry...~

I wanted to try both the jeongol and the suyuk, so this is what I ordered. But I did not realize a half soup came with it, so I thought afterward that I should have just ordered the suyuk set. Haha.

There were other menu options too. Since pork cutlet and fried dumplings are available for children, I thought it would also be good for family gatherings.

The side dishes were set out on both sides of the table, so it was comfortable to eat.

For extra side dishes, we used the self-serve bar. I liked that it was clean. Haha.

Before the meal, they served black goat extract. It had a healthy taste... Since it is said to be good for a restorative meal, I drank a cup too. I really liked that they brought one cup for each person.

They directly operate a black goat farm in Boseong, so I felt it was a place I could trust.

This was a 2-person serving of jeongol, and the portion was generous. The sotbap was hot and really tasty, and there were lots of mushrooms. A staff member prepared the ingredients so they were easy to eat.

The black goat meat was tender and really delicious. There was no gamey smell, and it went perfectly with the sauce served on the side. The broth was rich, so I kept going back for more. 😜

After we had eaten some of the jeongol, the suyuk came out. It was a 1-person serving, and the amount was just right to eat together with the jeongol.

They gave plenty of mushrooms, chives, and perilla leaves, and the half soup included in the set was also hearty. It did not have mushrooms like the jeongol, but there was a lot of meat and perilla leaf inside, so we enjoyed it.

Eating such a full table made it feel like a proper restorative meal, and it put me in a good mood. Haha.

The suyuk meat was also tender, tasty, and had no gamey smell. Eating it with mushrooms was the best combination.

On the way out, I noticed that the black goat extract was being sold ready to take home. Since you can try it before buying, maybe that is why it seems to sell well.

After the meal, we could use the dedicated cafe next door for free. I got an Americano and looked around.

The cafe space was spacious, which I liked, and they were also selling various kinds of tteok.

There were ice cream, puffed rice, snacks, and other little bites, so it would be nice to buy one and enjoy the cafe before leaving. This was a Sanbon restaurant that was nice to visit with my parents.
