Izakaya Baby at Sadang Station: Terrace Izakaya Review
A Friday-night review of Izakaya Baby near Sadang Station, about a 5-minute walk from exits 13 or 14, with terrace seating, tablet ordering, and izakaya dishes.
Hello! Today I’m introducing an atmospheric open-air izakaya near Sadang Station. Sadang is a convenient meeting point for people coming from both Seoul and Gyeonggi-do, and this kind of mood-filled terrace izakaya felt pretty rare in the area.

Once night fell and it got darker, the place filled up right away. The terrace seats were taken first, a wait started to form, and then the inside got busy too. Friday nights in Sadang really are lively.

The lighting is good, so photos come out nicely. Hyeonju, you’re the best.
The location is about a 5-minute walk from Sadang Station Exit 13 or Exit 14. I usually went toward Exit 10 because there are many restaurants on that side, but it seems like the opposite side also has a lot of good places. Business hours: 15:00 to 02:00 Last order: 01:10

Outside, there were about 9 to 10 terrace seating spots. As the sky got darker at night, the lights above started to shine and the space looked even prettier. It was a nice, atmospheric place to sit outside and take photos.

Inside, the atmosphere had a strong Japanese-style feel. It was more spacious than I expected, so I could imagine people coming here often for group company dinners too. There was a full-length mirror, so I took a quick photo with my friend.

Ordering was easy through a tablet.
Whirlwind beef brisket mala sukiyaki Aged kimchi tuna roll Beef tataki
Since this was our first drinking stop of the night, this amount felt just right for four people. The mala sukiyaki seemed to be one of the popular items, so we ordered one soup-style dish and added two lighter side dishes.

The terrace lighting looked amazing. The sukiyaki bowl was also very large and tall, so the portion felt generous and filling. I also thought the aged kimchi tuna roll had a lot of food for the price, so we were able to eat plenty.

We enjoyed a very refreshing Friday night. It had been too hot to even think about terrace seating, but the weather started cooling down from that day, so choosing the outdoor seats was a great call.

The portion was really big. There were two fish cake skewers inside, and bean sprouts and beef brisket were wrapped around the outside. The mala flavor was a moderate Korean-style mala. The aroma was not too strong, so people who love mala tang might find it a little mild, but it felt approachable even for people who do not usually enjoy mala tang.
For the bean sprouts and meat, you just move in as much as you want to eat into the center. Instead of boiling everything at once, you add and cook it little by little as you go, which I actually liked better. It helped keep the texture alive.

Each aged kimchi tuna roll had a slice of cheongyang chili pepper on top, and the wasabi was served separately. As a wasabi lover, I really liked that. The rolls were pretty big, so my mouth almost felt too full, but you know how it tastes better when you eat it in one big bite.

The beef tataki was a little unusual. It came with vegetable salad in black sesame sauce, with a crunchy powder-like topping on top, so the texture of the tender beef tataki felt unique. It wasn’t bad, so I was fine with it. There are many good places around Sadang Station, but I don’t think there are many with this kind of open-air terrace feel. I recommend it if you’re looking for a terrace drinking spot. I also noticed another menu item that came with a fire show. Recommended as an izakaya near Sadang Station.
