Puzzle Factory Hongdae Queen Murder Case 6-Person Review
A first crime-scene game visit at Puzzle Factory Hongdae Main Branch, covering the Queen Murder Case theme, nearby public parking, themed costumes, lockers, coins, and the difficulty of a historical mystery.
Hello, this is Ijjingne. Today I am reviewing my very first crime-scene game. I like escape rooms and have tried several escape-room places, but this was my first time doing a crime scene. There was a crime-scene TV show too, right? It is a game where you enter a murder-case theme and reason out who the culprit is.

I visited the Hongdae Main Branch. The Hongdae branch is located at a large intersection on Hongdae main street, so it was very easy to find. Unfortunately, parking is not available there. We found a nearby public parking lot and parked there.
This is where I parked. It was 6,000 KRW for 2 hours. I chose one of the relatively affordable nearby options, so keep it in mind if you need parking. It was about an 8-minute walk to the crime-scene venue.

There were two themes: Queen Murder Case and Janghwa Hongryeon Murder Case. I decided on Queen Murder Case. Since six of us were planning to visit, I picked a theme that could take six people.

The entrance was so pretty. Both themes have a historical-drama setting, so the entrance and lobby were decorated with that mood. They also rent costumes that match the theme. The immersion was seriously strong.

After going in, we confirmed the reservation and stored our belongings in lockers. Then we watched an explanation of the crime-scene rules and filled out a consent form before starting the game.

The lockers were divided by theme, and because the theme works for four to six people, each theme had two locker spaces. The shoe lockers were also kept neat and clean.

There were notices posted on the board and several discount notices too, so if you qualify for a discount, make sure to check them. Crime-scene games are a bit more expensive than other escape rooms.

This is where you can exchange the coins you receive after the crime-scene game. You can get coins if you catch the culprit, and if you fail to catch the culprit, the culprit gets them all.

You can exchange them for snacks, use them for savings or discounts, or use them for photo printing. We failed to catch the culprit, so the culprit took everything. Fortunately, in a way, we decided to save them all for next time so we can get a discount on our next crime-scene visit.
It was my first time, and it was harder than I expected. The historical-drama terms were hard to get used to, so I was thrown off. At the end, they explained the full story of the case, and I really felt how difficult it was. Next time I want to try an easier theme. Still, with the clothes and props fully prepared, the immersion was incredible, and I caught myself genuinely insisting that I was wronged. I already reserved the Goblin Village Murder Case at the Bundang branch for my next crime-scene game. I will share another review after I go.
