Pungnyeon Sutbul Galbi in Hogye-dong
A Hogye-dong charcoal galbi spot near Hogye Intersection and Pyeongchon Doosan Weve Riverview, with early opening hours, free parking, tender beef rib meat, cold noodles, stew, and generous banchan.
Hi, this is Izzingne. Today I went to Pungnyeon Sutbul Galbi, the only galbi place right in front of my home. It is a charcoal galbi restaurant close to Hogye Intersection and Pyeongchon Doosan Weve Riverview. The meal was so tasty and satisfying.

Hours: 05:00-22:00. On Sundays, 04:00-22:00. Closed on the second and fourth Sundays. That opening time is amazing. I have never seen a BBQ restaurant open at 5 in the morning. It almost feels close to 24-hour service.
The restaurant is in a corner building near Hogye Intersection. If you park in the basement of Daeyoung Golden Tower, they provide two hours of free parking.

Two portions of beef rib meat After-meal cold noodles
I visited with my mom for a simple meal, so we ordered two portions of beef rib meat and cold noodles first. Pungnyeon Sutbul Galbi specializes in 100% handmade galbi. Next time, I want to try the pork galbi too. I also liked that there were many meat options and a good range of meal dishes like stews.

They started by setting out ssam vegetables and side dishes. Garlic, ssamjang, and salt are essentials. For beef, dipping it in salt tastes best to me.

The side dishes were impressive because of this seasoned vegetable salad with freshwater snail. It was really good and paired so well with the meat. There were also summer dureup shoots, acorn jelly, and freshly cooked kimchi pancake. I could not believe how generously the side dishes came out.

And then the highlight of a Korean BBQ table: seasoned marinated crab. It was not too salty and tasted excellent. It had been a while since I was this busy eating side dishes before the meat even arrived.

The beef rib meat finally came out. It was served with lightly cooked pine mushrooms, and the portion felt generous and neatly presented, which I really liked.

We filled the grill and cooked it steadily over a gentle fire. The owner came by from time to time to check the fire. Even though every table was full and guests kept coming in, the attentive service really stood out.

The beef rib meat was so tender and juicy that it almost melted in my mouth. My mom may have liked it even more than I did.

The cold noodles served afterward had very chewy noodles, and the broth was icy and refreshing. When we ordered rice, stew came with it too, and the stew was exactly my style. It was spicy, rich, and full of ingredients, so I kept eating it with rice until I was completely full. This place felt like the real deal, and I knew I would come back.

The meat quality was good, the owner was kind, and I would put this among the top restaurants in Hogye-dong. I wondered why I had only found it now. For Anyang beef galbi, I am 100% willing to revisit. #HogyeDongRestaurant #HogyeDongBBQ #AnyangGalbi #AnyangBeefGalbi #HogyeGalbi #HogyeDongBeef #HogyeDongCharcoalGalbi #HogyeGalbiRecommendation #HogyeMealRecommendation #HogyeEarlyMorningRestaurant
