Oneul Sushi Sanbon Review: Budget Conveyor Sushi
A Sanbon review of Oneul Sushi, covering the location by Sanbon Station Exit 3, hours, break time, weekday wait, Catch Table tip, KRW 1,790 plates except some specials, salmon variety, mini udon, and value notes.

Hi, this is Ijjingne. I heard that O,neul Sushi, a place I really liked and often visited at the Beomgye branch, had opened in Sanbon too, so I went right away.

It is right in front of Sanbon Station Exit 3. As you come down from Exit 3, you can see the orange sign right away. Hours listed in the source are 11:30-22:00, break time 15:00-17:00, and last order 21:30. Since there is a break time, checking the time is essential.

I visited around 7 p.m. on a weekday, and the inside was packed. As expected from Oneul Sushi, a Sanbon sushi favorite. I remembered always waiting at the Beomgye branch, so I put my name on the waitlist through Catch Table before visiting.

When I checked Catch Table, there was a wait even on a weekday. Since five of us were planning to visit, reserving or joining the waitlist in advance was especially necessary. There are only three table seats, so groups of three to five should definitely prepare ahead. If two people visit, seats may open faster, but instead of waiting outside in the cold, try using Catch Table first.

You can wait on the chairs in front of the shop, or there is an inside hallway where it is at least warmer than outside. What really touched me was that the owner or staff came out first to check the number of people waiting, explain the wait time, and even bring warm drinks to people waiting outside. I only had to wait about 5 minutes for the group table to be cleared, but they came out right away and said it was cold, which was very thoughtful.
Another touching point: every plate is KRW 1,790. Except for three or four special sushi items, everything is affordable at KRW 1,790. This is why I introduce it as a great-value Sanbon sushi restaurant.

At the seat, pickled rakkyo, ginger, soy sauce, and wasabi are prepared. Soup is set according to the number of people and can be refilled. If you participate in the receipt review event, they discount one plate of sushi in advance.
If you have been to a conveyor belt sushi place, you know how easy it is to zone out while watching the belt go round. I stare while deciding what to eat.

I picked the sushi I wanted and ate well. First was my favorite, salmon. I like salmon the most, so I tried several kinds of salmon. This is why I like Oneul Sushi: there are quite a few salmon varieties, so you can try them in different styles.

There were also many other kinds of sushi, including salmon, yukhoe, eel, and abalone.

This was not all for one person; five of us ate together. After taking a proof photo and clearing the first round of plates, I think we ate about 20 more plates. The total that day was around KRW 140,000.

My new favorite became the gamtae uni shrimp sushi. Sushi at this higher price level is called two-plate sushi. They actually serve it with two plates stacked, meaning it costs double. It was so good that I ate three of them.

We enjoyed sushi with beer, then finished a bowl of udon, and I was very full. Mini udon and memil noodles are also available, so it works well if you want meal-style menu items too.
I took a photo of the impressive flaming action. If you are looking for affordable but fresh sushi in Sanbon or want conveyor belt sushi, this is the Sanbon sushi spot. I recommend O,neul Sushi; it is my top sushi pick. Even two people can eat until full for under KRW 40,000 according to the source, making it a real value spot.
