Obad Beomgye Cafe Dessert Review and Discounts

Hello, this is Izzingne. It had been a while since I was meeting friends in Beomgye. Before going out for drinks, we wanted a cafe where we could chat, so I searched around and found Obad, a dessert cafe near Beomgye Station. The navy and orange color combination stood out, and it was such a pretty cafe.

Obad was also very easy to reach. When you come out of Beomgye Station Exit 2, it is on the 2nd floor of the building immediately to the right, so even though it was very hot, we did not have to walk far and could get to the cafe quickly.

Above were Obad signature menus: choco strawberry latte and matcha strawberry latte. Both looked amazing and seemed like they would be very sweet. Obad also has a cute set menu. If you order an Americano plus an egg tart, the set is discounted: 1,000 won for takeaway and 500 won for eating in.

They also had Malenka cake here. I love it because it is sweet and nutty, so next time I want to come back for the walnut Malenka.

The four of us really ordered a lot. It was funny how everyone had such different tastes. The Encho choco cake had a 1,000 won discount through July 31. Maybe because it was a new menu item. It was really good, so try it before the 31st if you can.

After coming back from the restroom, I noticed they had three kinds of hand sanitizer prepared. Such a thoughtful cafe.

The interior was also so pretty. Matching the wall and carpet colors made it feel more polished. The sofa was very soft and comfortable, so I wanted to keep sitting there.

They decorated the cafe well with lighting in different spots, so it was fun to look around. There were several mirrors too, which made it great for taking photos with friends.

Finally, our order came out. We ordered four drinks plus desserts, but maybe because the owner works quickly, everything was ready soon. I liked that we did not wait long. Even the plates matched the orange concept.

The cups were so pretty. Drinks really do feel even better when they are served in pretty cups.

I ordered the affogato, and it was the richest affogato I had ever tried. It was not short on ice cream, but it was still very deep and thick. It tasted like intense coffee ice cream, with a strong, nutty coffee flavor that was exactly my style. I had a cold, so I could not try my friends drinks, but they said everything was sweet, cool, and good.

The egg tart is warmed up right after you order. The inside was soft and just sweet enough, so I understood why they sell it as a set with Americano. There were several egg tart flavors such as ganache and cream cheese, but maybe because they were popular, only plain was left when I visited. The basic one was this good, so the other flavors must be good too.

Obad new Encho choco cake had chocolate coating outside and chocolate with strawberry cream inside. The chocolate and strawberry combination was great. It felt like a full sugar recharge, and because it was sweet, I kept reaching for more.

The mood was so good, and the interior was completely hip. I did not know orange and navy could look this pretty together.
