Manwon Jokbal Sanbon Market Value Jokbal Review
A Sanbon Market jokbal review of Manwon Jokbal, covering regular king jokbal, spicy king fire jokbal, sauce add-ons, serving times, takeout portions, and late-night drinking food ideas.
Hello, this is Ijjingne. Today I visited Manwon Jokbal, a famous spot in Sanbon Market that I go to often. My whole family likes Manwon Jokbal, so we always buy it when we visit Sanbon Market. The fire jokbal here has a full smoky flavor and is so good.

Manwon Jokbal, known as a Sanbon-dong jokbal spot, sits prominently in the middle of the main large alley of Sanbon Market. Even if you only glance at a map, you will probably pass it while looking around the market, so it is easy to find. The yellow sign really stands out.

King jokbal Spicy king fire jokbal Sauce add-on
This is the combination I always take home. King jokbal for my mom, and spicy king fire jokbal for my dad and me. Even just buying these two gives us plenty to eat and leaves us full. Adding sauce is not optional for us; it is a must.

The jokbal serving times are fixed. On weekdays: 10:30, 13:30, 16:30. On weekends: 9:30, 12:10, 15:00, 17:30. If you go according to the schedule, you can get warm, freshly prepared jokbal.

Seeing that there was even a line at the counter, I imagine the line must get very long on weekends around the serving times.

Maybe because I visited in the evening after work, a lot of the jokbal had already sold out. Luckily, mine was still there. I packed it up well and brought it home.

The portion was really large. They packed it generously, and the sauces included exactly what we needed.

First was the regular king jokbal. It felt very substantial, and as soon as I opened it, a nutty aroma came up. There was no pork smell at all, and the texture was chewy and delicious. When I wrapped a bite with lettuce at home, I immediately wanted soju.

The fire jokbal had an amazing smoky flavor. It was moderately spicy, which my dad and I really like. If you add Cheongyang chili and eat it as a wrap, the spiciness gets stronger and it tastes really good.

That day, we fully committed to having soju with it and even mixed golbaengi somyeon to eat together. Somehow, it was still good even after cooling down. If you want to eat it warm like at first, heat it just a little and the original chewiness comes back. For Sanbon Market jokbal, I think Manwon Jokbal is the one. I highly recommend it when you do not want to cook dinner or when you are craving drinks and looking for late-night food near Geumjeong Station.
