Majang-dong Someori Gukbap in Anyang Central Market
A lunch and hangover meal review of Majang-dong Someori Gukbap near Anyang Central Market, with 100 percent Hanwoo broth, soup rice, kimchi, salt, and spicy dadagi.
Hi, this is Izzingne. Today I visited Majang-dong Someori Gukbap, an Anyang Central Market spot I always stop by when I go grocery shopping or look around the market.

If you walk upward from Anyang Central Market, it is inside an alley. Business hours are 08:00 to 20:00, and it is closed every Monday.

I walked slowly from the Anyang Ilbeonga side while looking around the market. It was not far from Central Market, so I found it quickly. There was so much food along the way that I almost got distracted, but I held back and arrived.

The menu had someori gukbap, suyuk, mandu soup, mandu ramen, shrimp fries, squid fries, and a seasonal cold memil noodle dish. We wanted a hearty lunch, so we ordered someori gukbap. Since both of us were hungry, we chose the special size.

They also sell broth made with rich Hanwoo, and even mandu ramen with plenty of bone broth. With mandu soup, mandu ramen, and fried items, it seems like a place where families can stop for a filling meal while visiting the market with kids.

You know how places with simple menus are often the real good spots. It was already known as an Anyang Central Market gukbap favorite.

Because it is gukbap, the food came out almost immediately after ordering. The rice does not come separately; it is already inside the soup. I usually do not prefer rice mixed into soup, and this was my first time getting gukbap this way, so I took the first bite skeptically. But it was actually better than eating the rice separately.

I sprinkled pepper from the side, and the hot broth with rice inside felt perfect for soothing the stomach.

The soup comes completely unseasoned. You add the salt provided on the side to your taste and mix well. The kimchi they served was so good that I added only a little salt and ate it with the kimchi.

After eating about half, I mixed in the dadagi seasoning. The dadagi here is the real thing. It was much spicier and more savory than typical dadagi, with amazing depth. I had never tasted dadagi like this at any gukbap place, and it was excellent. I wished I had mixed it in sooner and scraped up every last drop of soup.

This is an Anyang Central Market place I highly recommend for a morning hangover meal or a hearty lunch. Because there is a special size, people who are very hungry or eat a lot can choose it. Make sure to try the dadagi. #Anyang #AnyangRestaurant #Majangdong #SomeoriGukbap #AnyangCentralMarketGukbap #MajangdongSomeoriGukbap #AnyangLunch #AnyangCentralMarketRestaurant #AnyangSomeoriGukbap #AnyangCentralMarketLunch #AnyangIlbeongaLunch #AnyangIlbeongaRestaurant
