Jongno 3-ga Backstreet Pizza Review
A Jongno 3-ga Backstreet Pizza review covering the basement entrance, hip interior, half-and-half Potato Killer and Pepperoni pizza, beer options, self bar, pickles, and date-course appeal.
Hi, this is Ijjingne. A few days ago, I visited a pizza place in Jongno 3-ga. I heard the french-fry pizza was good, so I went to try it.

Backstreet Pizza has its main branch in Suwon and became known as a pizza spot in Haenggung-dong, so I had wanted to visit once. Since I had plans in Jongno, I went right away. Hours: 12:00-23:00 Last order: 22:10 Saturday and Sunday open at 11:00
I came out of Jongno 3-ga Station Exit 4 and followed the map. After entering a narrow alley and looking around, there was a red door, and that was the place. The store is in the basement, so I got a little turned around, but you just need to find the red door.

After going down the stairs, there were about ten tables. They also set tables according to group size, and there were groups of more than ten people, so it seemed good for a Jongno company dinner too. A large chandelier stood out, and the overall atmosphere felt hip.

There were four-person and two-person seats, and we sat at a two-person table. The table was already set with utensils, which felt neat.

Half and Half Potato Killer and Pepperoni Coca-Cola
For half-and-half pizza, the price is based on the more expensive of the two pizza choices, with an added 2,000 won for R size and 3,000 won for L size.
There was also an event: if you order the Quarter Street pizza, which lets you enjoy four types at once, with a Hoegaarden or Stella draft beer set, you get a discount. That looked good for people doing pizza and beer.

Even though it was daytime, draft beer sounded so tempting. I like Kozel draft beer, and they had it, with three powder options: cinnamon, dark chocolate, and strawberry. I held back and ordered cola because I had another plan afterward, but it was a little regrettable.

Before the pizza came out, I brought water, cheese powder, and hot sauce from the self bar. Pickles and dipping sauce were served separately. Maybe because the pickles included jalapenos, they were spicy, which I really liked.

After about ten minutes, the pizza came out. We ordered R size, and it was quite large for two people. The toppings were generous with no empty spots, which is exactly how pizza should be.

This was the french-fry pizza I most wanted to try. Honey was drizzled over the salty fries, so it had a proper sweet-and-salty flavor. I worried it might be dry, but it was softer than expected and not dry, so I enjoyed it.

The pepperoni was the classic choice. With plenty of cheese, it was salty, savory, and easy to keep eating. I love places that load on the toppings like this.

Backstreet Pizza is a strong recommendation for anyone looking for a date course or a restaurant around Ikseon-dong. The atmosphere is good, and most importantly, the pizza tastes great. With that much topping, it would be hard not to taste good.
