Inssaeng Beer Bumgye: Frosty Beer and Bar Snacks
A personal review of Inssaeng Beer Bumgye near Bumgye Station Exit 2, with crispy potato jeon, Bunmoja Bomb Zico Chicken, a lively pub atmosphere, and late-night hours.

Hi! Today I visited Inssaeng Beer Bumgye, a spot known for icy, frosty beer. It is such a well-known place that I used to go often when I was in university, and recently I started thinking about it again, so I went back. As expected, it was still delicious. 😍

Inssaeng Beer Bumgye has a photo zone too. Before going in with friends, we had to take photos first.

The location is on the second floor of one of the main bar buildings in Bumgye. From Bumgye Station Exit 2, you just walk straight, and it was really close at about 3 minutes on foot. Hours: 17:00–03:00 Friday and Saturday: 17:00–05:00 Staying open until 3 a.m. is already plenty, but on weekends it is open all the way until 5 a.m. You could eat and drink at a relaxed pace and still have time to head home.

At the entrance, there are menu photos, and honestly, how could you not go in after seeing them? Inssaeng Beer is already known for doing bar snacks well. If there is a wait, you can sit on the waiting chairs out front before going in. There may be a wait on weekends, so it is worth timing your visit well. I visited around 9 p.m. on a Friday, and except for a few seats, it was almost full.

There was also a simple menu board. It said that if you tag them and upload to Instagram Stories, they give out service items generously. If you use Instagram, that feels like a definite yes. 💕

Crispy Potato Jeon Bunmoja Bomb Zico Chicken
I thought Bunmoja Bomb Zico Chicken would pair well with potato jeon, so I ordered them together. Inssaeng Beer is great for jeon-style dishes. The potato jeon is very crisp and tasty, so it is a menu item I order often.

The interior is very spacious, and the seats in the center have lighting and a mood that feel hip. As expected, most guests seemed to be in their 20s and 30s, and the atmosphere was lively and bustling.

The seats along the wall have this kind of lighting, so they feel nice for a date or a casual “getting to know you” drink. I liked that one bar had different atmospheres in the same space, so you could choose the seating mood you wanted. We chose a seat somewhere in the middle.

This is the Bunmoja Bomb Zico Chicken. It comes with lots of plump bunmoja and tender boneless chicken. The sauce was moderately spicy, so it was the kind of flavor that kept my hand moving back for more. 😁

We could not stop clinking glasses. We had already had soju at our first stop and came here for round two, so we decided to keep drinking soju. I did not drink the icy beer this time, but the soju came out really cold too. It went down as easily as beer.

This is my favorite, the Crispy Potato Jeon. It is thin and extra crisp. The seasoning is just right, and it goes so well with the salad served on the side. Not just crispy — truly crunchy. They also bring tongs and scissors so you can cut it however you like. If you cut it all up first and pick at it piece by piece as a snack, it is perfect.

The combination of the potato jeon and Bunmoja Bomb Zico Chicken was really good. Sweet-salty plus chewy-crunchy. When the snacks taste this good, the drinks keep coming, and it was a great place to chat noisily with friends. I also noticed that a large screen on one wall was showing sports. Next time, I want to come back, watch a soccer match, and drink beer with full energy.

Bumgye has many popular bars, but if you want a place that feels good value, fun, and popular with people in their 20s, Inssaeng Beer feels like a strong choice. I have visited several branches, but Inssaeng Beer Bumgye felt the most energetic, and even the staff were kind, so I left in an even better mood. The place is also large, so it can work for company dinners and group gatherings. For a company dinner, after-party, or group drinking spot, this is an easy pick. I come to Bumgye often, and I think I will be coming here even more now. #BumgyeBar #BumgyeFood #BumgyeBeer #BumgyeBarSnacks #BumgyeHotPlace #BumgyePochaRecommendation #HotBarInBumgye #AnyangBar #AnyangFood #AnyangBeerBar #BumgyeDraftBeer #GoodValueBumgyeBar
