Hunter Kids Original vs Play Short UK3 220 Size Review

Hello, this is Ijjingne. Today I brought a Hunter Kids wearing review. I am writing this after wearing them for one year, so you can trust the experience. First, Hunter has a kids line. I bought kids sizing because women's sizes were hard to find last year when Hunter was very popular, my feet are small enough at 220-230, and most of all the price was much cheaper. I was so satisfied that I would strongly recommend kids sizing to women under size 230.

The products I have are Hunter Kids Junior Play Short Black and Hunter Kids Junior Original Metal Silver. Both are UK3 220 size.

First, I bought the Play Short last year from Musinsa for 95,000 KRW. It also came with the warranty card.

The design is mini and cute. Since it only reaches the ankle, the biggest advantage is that it can be worn with long pants. It is also easy to put on and take off.

There is just one difference from the women's size. The women's size has red on the heel strap, while the kids size has a black heel strap. The color accent is pretty too, but the all-black look is clean and cute.

For the most important size tip: I usually wear sneakers and Crocs in 220, high heels in 230, and flats in 225. Hunter Kids UK3 220 feels just right without my toes curling. I was most worried about the ankle when buying kids because my ankles are thicker than average, but luckily it did not feel tight or cramped and was roomy and comfortable.

My mom, who comfortably wears 235, could also get her feet into them. Instead, they felt a bit tight, so she said she only wore them when going somewhere nearby on rainy days. I looked up many other reviews, and because the kids size seems to run one size large, I think people who wear 230 could also wear them well.

Next is the very cute and accent-like Original Metal Silver color. I bought this a long time ago, so it seems the color may not be available now. Silver seems to be trending again these days, and it made me think trends really do come back.

I am 158 cm tall, and as shown in the photo, the length comes below the knee. It is shorter than the women's Original. This depends on preference, but because I am on the shorter side and like a mid-boot length, I thought the shorter kids length looked prettier than the women's size. If you want a mid-boot length, go with kids; if you want a long-boot length, go with women's.

Even in the same size, I thought a longer boot might be hard to put on, but thankfully Hunter has a wide calf area, so the Original was not uncomfortable to put on or take off. My feet slid in easily, so I actually reached for it more. It also blocks rain more completely than the Play Short, so it works very well with summer shorts and skirts.

From above, there is enough space between my leg and the boot. Maybe because it is kids sizing or because of the color, it looks kitschy and cute. In summer, denim plus white plus silver is an easy win. I am someone who waits for summer so I can wear Hunter.

Because I bought this one a long time ago, this is all that remains of the included items: a cute shoe bag. I highly recommend it to small-footed shoppers who want to buy Hunter for less. A mom-and-child matching combination would be cute too. I hope Hunter Kids keeps working hard.
