Hongmijip Anyang Main Branch Dakbokkeumtang Review
A visit to Hongmijip Anyang Main Branch in Anyang 1st Street for dakbokkeumtang, the Hongmi couple set, crab bibimbap, crab cheese steamed egg, cream pasta, and lunch-special notes.
Hi, this is Izzingne. I came to Anyang 1st Street for the first time in a while. You know Hongmijip, right? It is known for dakbokkeumtang, and the main branch is right here in Anyang 1st Street.

It is close to the large intersection where 2001 Outlet is located. I was not drinking that day, so I did not notice at first, but looking again, soju was 3,000 KRW. Keeping that old-school price makes it a good place for a meal with drinks.

The dakbokkeumtang comes in a two-person set and a three-to-four-person set, so it was easy to choose. Most people seemed to order sets. It is also sold as a single item, so ordering only the dakbokkeumtang from the main menu would be fine too.

You can also choose boneless or bone-in chicken. At 22,900 KRW, I thought the price was reasonable. The lunch special can be ordered from 11:00 to 14:00. I definitely recommend a filling dakbokkeumtang lunch.

By the way, have you seen such a pretty dakbokkeumtang restaurant? The chandelier was lovely. The interior was compact and comfortable.
Dakbokkeumtang + crab bibimbap + crab cheese steamed egg + cream pasta
We ordered the Hongmi couple set. The composition was really generous.

The chicken in the dakbokkeumtang came partly cooked already, and they said we could eat it once the potatoes and vegetables were done. The portion was huge for two people.

Next came the crab bibimbap and crab cheese steamed egg. Both the bibimbap and steamed egg had crab meat, so they tasted richer and nuttier.

Since I especially like the egg-and-cheese combination, Hongmijip's steamed egg became my top pick. The egg was fluffy, and with cheese and crab added, it was so soft. It tasted great after mixing everything together.

I brought kimchi and white kimchi from the self-service bar. The crab bibimbap was nutty and tasty too. Hongmijip is good at dakbokkeumtang, but I think the side dishes do a lot of the work as well.

A perfect three-dish shot. I should have photographed the pasta together too, but it took a little longer, so I gathered the three dishes first. The dakbokkeumtang boiled up quickly, and once I checked that the potatoes were cooked, it tasted excellent. The broth thickness was just right too.

The cream pasta appeared last. It was as thick and creamy as pasta from a pasta restaurant, and it felt like the noodles had soaked up plenty of sauce. The noodles and sauce did not feel separate. It was my first time eating dakbokkeumtang with cream pasta, and I was surprised by how well they matched.
Even on a return visit, I think I would order the Hongmi couple set again. The pasta and dakbokkeumtang pairing felt fresh, so I would absolutely come back.
