Holmes & Lupin Beomgye Board Game Cafe and Desserts
A personal visit to Holmes & Lupin Beomgye, a board game cafe about five minutes from Beomgye Station Exit 2. The reviewer liked the huge, well-organized game selection, Nintendo Zone, private rooms, tablet ordering, drinks, and ice cream croffle.
Hello! Today I visited Holmes & Lupin, a board game cafe in Beomgye. Compared with other board game cafes, the number of games here was really huge, and having a Nintendo Zone felt like a big plus.

The location is close to Beomgye Station Exit 2, about a 5-minute walk away. The opening hours change depending on the peak or off-peak season, so it is best to check the information on Naver Place.

On weekdays, adult and teen rates are different, and there is also an unlimited plan. For adults staying more than 2 hours, and for teens staying more than 3 hours, the unlimited plan would probably be the better value. Once you start playing board games, 3 or 4 hours can pass in no time, so visiting on a weekday and choosing the unlimited plan could be a budget-friendly way to enjoy it. The post also noted discount events, so it would be good to check and use any available discount.

I have been to other board game cafe brands and several different branches, but Holmes & Lupin Beomgye was the first place where I found this many games arranged so neatly. They were organized in Korean alphabetical order, starting with ㄱ, ㄴ, ㄷ, so they were easy to find. There was no shortage of the games we needed, which made it easy to start playing right away.

On the way in, I noticed a cute Haribo decoration. Cool water was also prepared near the entrance. Overall, the interior was pretty and felt private.
The space was decorated nicely, and there were many different room types to choose from.

This is the 8-person seating area. It has a round table where everyone can sit around comfortably for board games. The chairs were also soft and comfortable, so it seemed fine even for a long game session.

This side had a hut-like room style. There was an upper level you reach by ladder and a lower level you enter by bending down, so you can choose whichever you prefer. In winter, I also tend to prefer floor-seating rooms because the floor feels nice and warm compared with regular rooms.

Slippers are provided in the floor-seating rooms so it is easy to go in and out. You end up leaving the room more often than expected, whether to get drinks or snacks, change games, or go to the restroom.

This was the room assigned to us. Since taking off shoes felt like a hassle, we chose a regular room. There was a place on the table for drinks, and the sofa seating was comfortable.

Vanilla latte. Jeju Cheonhyehyang fresh-squeezed juice. Ice cream croffle.
They had the kind of fresh fruit juice I like, so I chose Cheonhyehyang. It was refreshing, not too sweet, and had a slight bittersweet note that I enjoyed. Ordering was convenient through a tablet, and that same tablet also lets you see game recommendations and game explanation videos. It seemed like a good place to visit with children too.

The ice cream croffle came with one piece of croffle and two scoops of ice cream on top. The combination was excellent. It is perfect if you cut it all at once, then dip pieces into the ice cream while playing games.

We started with Splendor and planned to try other games too, but we lost track of time and ended up playing only Splendor for 3 hours. They had all the games I had wanted to try, so I want to visit again and play something different next time. The staff were all kind, and the drinks and desserts were tasty, so from now on, Holmes & Lupin will be my go-to board game cafe in Beomgye. #BeomgyeThingsToDo #BeomgyeBoardGames #BeomgyeBoardGameCafe #BeomgyeDate #IndoorDate #UniqueDate #ThingsToDo #PlacesToVisitWithKids #PlacesToVisitInBeomgye #BeomgyeCafe
