Hogye Market Donuts Beomgye Takeout Review
A takeout review of Hogye Market Donuts near Beomgye and Pyeongchon, covering cake donuts, twisted donuts, glutinous rice donuts, red bean donuts, late-afternoon sellouts, fresh frying, and delivery app options.
Hello, this is Izzingne. Today I went out to the market for the first time in a while. I live in Hogye-dong, so I often take my mom to Hogye Market. Every time I passed by, there was a donut shop with such a good smell. This time it looked so good that I packed up a lot and brought it home.

Hogye Market is not that big, so while browsing around the market, it was easy to find. Go in through the entrance shown in the left photo, turn right, and it is located toward the front.

I finally arrived. I ordered the large set. Relatives were coming over, so I ordered quite a lot so we could all eat together. There are not many places around Pyeongchon to buy donuts, so it is really nice to have this shop in the market.

Hogye Market Donuts has basic donut varieties plus sausage bread, cream donuts, and steamed buns. I came around 4 p.m., and the popular cream donuts and sausage breads were already gone. If you want to try a wider variety, I recommend visiting early. Delivery is also available, so ordering through Baemin or Coupang Eats is another option.

I chose four kinds: cake donuts, twisted donuts, glutinous rice donuts, and red bean donuts. It was a little disappointing that not many donuts were left. I did come late, but they must be very popular.

It was almost closing time, but customers kept coming in, so the owner kept frying more. Thanks to that, I luckily got to see the cake donut and twisted donut dough being prepared. The cake donut dough looked so pretty, and it was interesting to watch it puff up.

They fry in a large pot like this, sizzling away. The donuts floated in the oil and looked so soft and cute. I could see the cake donut dough and twisted donuts being fried.

When I arrived, there were hardly any donuts left, so most of what I received had just been fried. I did wait a little, but since I got freshly fried donuts, it felt completely lucky. They packed them slightly open so they would not get soggy.

The look was amazing. I asked them to coat with only a little sugar. The sugar amount was just right, and even after bringing them home, they were still hot. I needed to eat dinner, but I could not resist the sweet smell and tried a bite of each.

I like the texture of cake donuts: soft and crumbly but not dry, with that gentle sweet texture. It was so good. There was only one red bean donut left, so I brought it home, and the amount of red bean inside was just right with a great sweetness.

The glutinous rice donut needs no explanation. It was really chewy and crisp, like rice cake inside and a snack outside. The twisted donut was especially great because, unlike a regular twisted donut, it had a bumpy, crispy fried coating on the outside. That made the texture even crunchier. It was seriously the best.
From now on, I think I will go to Hogye Market when I need groceries. I will buy donuts while I am there. It is no secret that after trying them once, I wanted more and ordered delivery again two days later. #PyeongchonDonuts #BeomgyeDonuts #AnyangTwistedDonutSpot #AnyangBakery #AnyangFood #AnyangDonutShop #HogyeMarketDonuts #AnyangMarketDonuts #AnyangOldStyleDonuts #BeomgyeDonutSpot #HogyeDongDonutSpot
