Hogye-dong Wellbeing Tuna Review in Anyang
A local review of Wellbeing Tuna near Hogye-gu Intersection in Anyang, with friendly owners, tuna, generous side dishes, delivery and takeout, and hours listed as 16:00-01:00, closed Sundays.
Hello, this is Izzingne. This is a tuna place near my home that I visit often. From my first visit, the owner couple was so kind that the place stayed in my memory, so I kept going back.

It is easy to spot near Hogye-gu Intersection. People living around Doosan or Irvine should be able to come by comfortably. Business hours are 16:00-01:00, and it is closed on Sundays. Delivery and takeout are both available, so I sometimes get it to go.

That day, we were about to sleep after a light dinner, but all three of us suddenly got hungry. My dad suddenly said, "Let us go eat tuna," so we came here. As soon as we arrived, they set everything up nicely and placed plenty of seaweed on the side.

We came for a late-night bite and a glass of beer.
Small size for 1-2 people Soju, beer
We ordered the smallest size and somaek. There were three of us, but we asked the owner first before ordering.

They also sell various sake and highballs. Because I was still feeling the previous day, I skipped alcohol and let my parents drink. Next time, I definitely want to try a highball.

Looking at this now makes me want a drink again. Somaek really is hard to resist.

They brought out the side dishes first. I did not ask for more; they served that much from the start. I did not know garlic scapes would be so good with ssamjang, but the sharp flavor went well with the tuna. A tasty seasoned raw fish side dish also comes as a basic side.

The tuna came out slightly frozen and easy to eat. There was plenty of wasabi and radish sprouts. Even though it is for 1-2 people, the portion is generous. With all the side dishes, it feels even more filling once you start eating.

My favorite combination is lots of wasabi with a little soy sauce. It tastes best if you eat it quickly. Tuna is not as good once it melts too much.
Even from this view it looks generous, but it was not over yet.

Braised tuna and corn came out too. They are included as basic sides. The radish in the braise was especially good, and the sweet corn was nice.

They even gave us steamed egg as service. It felt somewhere between egg soup and steamed egg, and I liked the fluffy texture.

As we were almost done with the tuna, they kept bringing out small service dishes. The generosity was real. Every time I come, they give plenty of extras. There were salty roasted ginkgo nuts and what seemed like grilled tuna head or collar, rich and nutty with oil. They kept saying you need snacks when you drink and brought more out. This is the level of generosity at this neighborhood tuna spot.

I always enjoy eating here, so I wrote this review. Since it is a place I visit often, I hope it does even better.
