Hansongjeong Pyeongchon Korean Course Meal for Parents
A Pyeongchon Hansongjeong Korean course meal review for dining with parents or a formal family meeting, covering the main building, room seating, hours, parking, Yeonghwasang 14-item course, dessert, lunch boxes, and valet note.
Hi, this is Ijjin-ne. Today I took my parents out for a Korean course meal. I had been thinking of trying a good hansik restaurant in Pyeongchon, and the timing worked well with my parents, so we visited together.

There is an annex and a main building. Go up to the sixth-floor main building where the counter is located. The interior felt clean and refined, like an upscale Korean restaurant.
Hansongjeong is near Pyeongchon Station, so access was easy, and parking is possible on the first floor. Hours are 11:30 to 21:00, break time is 14:30 to 16:00, and last order is 20:00.

We reserved the Yeonghwasang, described as a 14-item course meal, for three people. After confirming the reservation at the entrance, we were guided to an inner room. The tableware was already set.

The first items were warm pine nut porridge and nabak kimchi. As expected, warm porridge before a course meal seems to help the meal start comfortably.

The first course was made up of fresh cold dishes, including sashimi, seafood, and salad.

The slices were very thick, so the texture was good. Salmon, my favorite, was included, which made the start even better.

The sharp mustard flavor in the jellyfish cold salad was nice, and the japchae was well seasoned.

The seasoned turban shell was plated so beautifully that it almost felt too pretty to eat. The wasabi sauce underneath suited my taste, so I dipped generously.

The second dish was gamtae uni sushi. It was turmeric rice topped with uni and wrapped in gamtae. Uni with gamtae is already a proven combination, and it was one of the dishes I really enjoyed.

The third serving included sujebi soup, bossam, cream shrimp, fried eggplant, and beef tangsuyuk.

The beef tangsuyuk had an unusual texture. It was very crispy and chewy, like glutinous rice tangsuyuk. I also ate the pork slices with the dried radish that came with them.

The cream shrimp had the familiar sweet taste. The fried eggplant came with chili sauce, and because it did not taste strongly like eggplant, I enjoyed it more.

The fourth course was rice: mixed-grain rice, tteokgalbi, doenjang jjigae, and various side dishes.

By this point I was so full that I left a little tteokgalbi. It was nutty and very tasty, and even though the patty was thick, it was cooked through inside.

We finished with omija tea for dessert. I really liked the course composition, and the staff were all kind. The amount was appropriate, though it felt slightly too much for me. The writer recommends it in Pyeongchon for a formal family meeting or when you want to treat your parents to a good meal.

There were also lunch box sets in the lobby, which looked useful for company orders. Parking is possible on the first floor, but the writer says they were told to get out right away without valet guidance, as if valet was required, and paid 3,000 KRW when leaving.
