Hansabal Pocha Beomgye: Anju Near Beomgye Station
A repeat visit review of Hansabal Pocha Beomgye, about 5 minutes from Beomgye Station Exit 2, with bacon kimchi jeon, boneless chicken feet, gopdoritang, and sweet egg toast.
Hi! Today I went back to Hansabal Pocha, a bar in Beomgye that I really like. On my first visit, I ordered the gopdoritang and it was so good that I immediately thought, "I need to come back and try the other anju here." So this was a repeat visit.

It is about a 5-minute walk from Exit 2 of Beomgye Station, on the 2nd floor of one of Beomgye’s main bar buildings. After getting out of the elevator, turn left and keep going around; Hansabal Pocha Beomgye appears right ahead. I visited at around 9 p.m. on a weekday, and there was only one spot left. If it is already this popular on a weekday, weekends may mean waiting.

Hours: 17:00–03:00 Last order: 02:00 The atmosphere was exactly my style. Posters for the popular menu items were up, and the round pocha-style tables had that feeling that makes you want to pour soju.

Bacon kimchi jeon Boneless chicken feet
Last time, I tried the gopdoritang with the sweet egg toast, so this time I chose different anju. There were a lot of options, and everything looked good, so it took us a while to decide. Since we had already eaten dinner and stopped by for a simple drink, we finally ordered the kimchi jeon and chicken feet.

At Hansabal Pocha, all orders are placed by smartphone. Each table has a QR code, and when you scan it with your camera, the ordering screen opens right away. If you and your friend scan the same QR code and add items to the cart, you can add to the same order together. It was convenient because each of us could browse and choose from our own phone.

They serve soft tofu and a heotgae stick as the basic anju. On drinking days, I always bring hangover jelly with me, so I really liked that Hansabal Pocha provides this by default. The soft tofu was smooth, and the sauce was tasty enough that I kept eating it.

The interior is wide and spacious, so I think it would be good for groups too. If you are looking for a roomy bar in Beomgye, this is the place.

After sitting down, having one jelly each, and chatting for a bit, the bacon kimchi jeon and chicken feet came out quickly. They brought soy sauce for the kimchi jeon and mayonnaise for the boneless chicken feet. The sauces matched the dishes so well.

The boneless chicken feet were much tastier than I expected. They came with rice cakes too, so the chewy texture was great. Dipping them in mayonnaise made the flavor spicy and sweet, which was excellent.

For the bacon kimchi jeon, they also gave us tongs and scissors so we could cut it up. Large pieces of bacon were laid on top, and they went well with the kimchi. It was salty in a good way, making it perfect anju for soju. The jeon was not small either, so it felt generous enough to share.

The kimchi-and-bacon combination is just the best. It was good dipped in the sauce and good on its own too. If you are curious about something other than gopdoritang at Hansabal Pocha, I recommend the bacon kimchi jeon and boneless chicken feet.

These are photos from my first visit, when I had the gopdoritang and toast. The gopdoritang had a rich broth and was boneless, so it was easy to eat and delicious. The sweet egg toast was also great: crispy outside and soft inside. That sweet-and-salty combination is honestly the best. For a first-round drinking spot, I recommend gopdoritang plus sweet egg toast. For a second round when you want lighter anju, I recommend bacon kimchi jeon plus boneless chicken feet. The staff were on the friendly side too, and as long as there is no waiting, I think it is a nice place to visit.
