Gyeongyang Katsu Sanbon Donkatsu and Pasta Review
A Sanbon Rodeo review of Gyeongyang Katsu, covering its 11:00-21:10 hours, break time, warm home-like interior, refillable sides, green onion spicy cream pasta, tender special sirloin katsu, and solo dining appeal.
Hello, this is Ijjingne. Today I visited Gyeongyang Katsu, one of the most famous katsu places in Sanbon. It is a good place for a filling lunch, so I wanted to introduce it.

Gyeongyang Katsu is on Sanbon Rodeo Street. Business hours are 11:00 to 21:10. Break time is 15:00 to 17:00. Last order is 20:40. If you enter the alley between Lotteria and Jaws Tteokbokki, you will find Gyeongyang Katsu, a Sanbon pork cutlet spot, on the right with pretty lighting and a home-like look.

The standing signs were lined up, and the photos alone looked appetizing. There can be a wait on weekends or at lunch. There was a waiting list at the entrance. I did not want to wait, so I visited on a weekday afternoon right after break time ended.

After we came in, ordered, and waited for the food, customers kept arriving, and by the time we were leaving, it was almost full. There are many katsu places nearby and this is not even a bar, so that made me think this place was the real deal.

Luckily, I was the first customer after the afternoon break, so I could take photos comfortably. The atmosphere felt like a comfortable home, with wood-toned furniture and warm lighting.

There was a restroom notice and hand sanitizer. Wet tissues and even a phone charger were at the entrance. I plugged in my phone, and it charged well, which I really liked.

I wanted both pasta and katsu, so I ordered a set. The friend with me ordered the special sirloin katsu, and we also had cola, which feels essential with pork cutlet. Each table had hair ties, cheongyang pepper pickles, and katsu sauce ready. Having the often-needed items prepared in advance made the meal comfortable.

This was the side dish setup that came with the pasta. They said everything except the main menu could be refilled, so I refilled the rice and salad.

The sirloin katsu came out at the same time, so I took a photo. Wasabi, salted shrimp, and salt were arranged so cutely that it was hard to mess them up.

This was the green onion spicy cream pasta I ordered. As someone who loves spicy food, I was moved. The sauce was thick and properly spicy. Looking at it, the noodles seemed to hold onto the sauce tightly. There are plenty of pasta places where noodles and sauce feel separate, but here, a katsu place was also good at pasta. The tenderloin katsu was less greasy and very soft too.

Next was the special sirloin katsu. They said it was softer than regular sirloin, so I ordered with high expectations, and it really impressed me. Usually tenderloin can feel a bit greasy, and sirloin can feel dry, but this sat right in the middle. Next time I come, I want to order the special sirloin.

Overall, the cooking level was right, and the seasoning of the food was well balanced. With the variety of sauces and side dishes, it was easy to keep eating without getting bored.

If you are thinking about solo dining in Sanbon or looking for a good Sanbon pork cutlet place, I highly recommend Gyeongyang Katsu Sanbon. I would revisit 100%. . . . #SanbonStationFood #SanbonPorkCutlet #SanbonMealSpot #SanbonSoloDining #SanbonStationSoloDining #SanbonPorkCutletSpot #SanbonPasta #SanbonLunchDate #SanbonLunchRecommendation
