Dohwa Beauty Gwangmyeong Premium Eyelash Perm Review

Hello! Today I’m sharing an eyelash perm review that I was genuinely happy with for the first time in a while. There are so many eyelash shops and so many types of perms that I usually have a hard time deciding where to go. After visiting Dohwa Beauty, though, I think I’ve found a place I’d return to.

The shop is located on the 3rd floor of the Gwangmyeong Hyosung Harrington Tower building. It is close to Gwangmyeong Station, IKEA, and Lotte Mall. There is also a bus stop right in front, so it was convenient to visit by public transportation. Opening hours: 11:00–22:00 Saturday: 10:30–18:00 Closed every Sunday I made an advance reservation through Naver Reservation before visiting. Dohwa Beauty has a principle of limiting appointments to four time slots per day so that it does not feel like a factory-style shop. They said they focus fully on each guest who visits. Even while receiving the treatment, I could feel how carefully and professionally they handled every single lash.

The interior had a clean white-and-wood look. Some shops feel cluttered or messy before you even start the perm, which can make me hesitate a little. Dohwa Beauty felt neat, almost like a showroom, so I liked it right away.

I changed into comfortable slippers and had a consultation. They looked at my eye shape and asked very detailed questions: the look I usually prefer, what kinds of perms I had done before, what felt uncomfortable during past treatments, and any requests I wanted to share with the director. They also explained the perm options available at Dohwa Beauty and chose a curl shape after clearly understanding what I wanted.

My lashes are on the longer and fuller side, so I told them that what bothers me most is how they can get tangled and messy as a perm starts to loosen. Dohwa Beauty has a premium perm that minimizes tangling and is designed to relax neatly as it wears off, so I went with the premium perm. Of course, it costs more than a regular perm, but after getting it done, I really felt that it was worth it. In fact, it has now been two weeks since the eyelash perm, and there is no tangling at all. The shape is still maintained, with only a slight lowering. I’m honestly surprised as I live with it day to day.

Your eyes are closed during the perm, but when I first walked in, the view felt open and spacious. Compared with small, enclosed shops that do not feel well ventilated, this place felt much more pleasant and comfortable.

There was a separate place to store belongings and a space to hang outerwear. They were very kind, helped with my things, and showed a lot of small thoughtful touches, so I left feeling good about the visit.

My softening time took a little longer, so the overall treatment ran slightly longer than average. Instead, they played relaxing sleep music, and after work I ended up having one of the best naps I’d had in a while. I fell asleep without noticing the time passing. Even in the finishing stage, they refined the curl shape one by one so it would look as pretty as possible. They also applied plenty of nourishing product and told me that because my lashes were on the dry side, I should keep applying lash nutrition consistently.

This was a mirror shot taken right after the perm. The lashes looked very defined and lifted, so I was satisfied. They did not get caught in my double-eyelid line, and because my long lashes were lifted in a way that suited my eye shape, they looked longer and fuller than when I had them done elsewhere.

After the perm, my eyes looked clearer, almost as if I were wearing contact lenses, so I felt excited every time I looked in the mirror.

At the end, they also gave me a product that helps balance the pH after an eyelash perm. They said that applying the balancer well for 2–3 days would maximize the effect of this premium perm and help it relax comfortably without tangling. I applied it carefully morning and evening for three days, and now, two weeks later, I still do not see a single tangled lash. Only the height has come down slightly, so I’m very happy with the premium perm. Highly recommended!

A few days after the perm, the director contacted me again to check whether the perm condition was okay and whether I had any discomfort.
